🦥 this is a Must, for an additional fee. 🦦😊 The Tropicario, located within the Jardín Botánico de Bogotá, is a captivating attraction that truly stands out. Designed to showcase Colombia’s remarkable tropical biodiversity, it’s an immersive journey through the country’s lush ecosystems. Upon entering, you’re greeted by an impressive display of tropical plants, including towering palms, exotic ferns, vibrant orchids, and unique species found only in Colombia. The facility is beautifully designed, with climate-controlled environments that replicate the conditions of rainforests, wetlands, and other tropical habitats. What makes the Tropicario special is its focus on education and conservation. The interpretive signs and interactive displays provide fascinating insights into the plants and their ecological roles, highlighting the importance of preserving these fragile ecosystems. The experience feels both serene and adventurous as you wander through the winding paths, surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells of the tropics. It’s a feast for the senses and a photographer’s dream. The Tropicario is a must-visit for anyone exploring the Jardín Botánico. Whether you’re a botany enthusiast or simply curious about Colombia’s natural treasures, this is a memorable and inspiring place that will leave you in awe. Highly recommended!

For me, it was just okay. Maybe July was not the right season- I rarely saw flowers. There are no English translations here, so it’s hard for international tourists. The highlights are lotus flower, koi fish and some big tree (although they cut the top of the tree as the tree is approaching the greenhouse ceiling). It is quite hot inside the greenhouse.

Nice site within the Bogota Botanical Garden that teaches about Colombian ecosystems and promotes conservation. As English speakers, we had a private tour, and since it was newly opened and a rainy day, it was pretty quiet overall. Definitely worth a visit if you're interested in biodiversity, horticulture, and related topics.
