First off, while booking the tour, the company confirmed that they could pick us up from our hotel, which is about 20 minutes from town. I verified if the distance was ok the day before, and they said yes. On the morning of the tour, they texted me that they could not pick us up because we were too far away. We had to scramble to find a taxi and paid more money to make it to a meeting point in town. They did offer to refund the tour if we couldn't make it in time.
Our first stop was the La Fortuna Waterfall; no complaints here, but since multiple of their groups were coming in simultaneously, it seemed like a safety hazard. I couldn't get out of the water when I wanted to as people were crowding around the rocks.
The next stop was the Volcano Hike, which was pretty uneventful; it was a 2-mile hike to a spot where the Arenal Volcano can be viewed from a distance. The tour guides were friendly but decided to merge our group with another one, even though we specifically booked this tour due to the smaller group size. Seeing animals in the forest was hit or miss, but I don't think having a huge group walking through the trail helped. Afterward, they provided lunch which was standard but it was not at an "Organic Farm" as STATED in the description.
The last stop was the "hot spring," but we arrived at a local waterway where the water was lukewarm at best and filled with jagged rocks (I would advise investing in a pair of water shoes). The water's depth reached 10 inches at best and was far from relaxing.
Afterward, I thought we were going to a hanging bridge, as STATED in the tour description, but instead, the tour guides said that was the last stop and began dropping us off.
The tour guides were all friendly, but overall, I felt deceived by the advertising and do not believe it was...

Erick and Robyn at the front desk were so helpful in getting me set up with the perfect tours.
I started with the Combo Tour to La Fortuna Waterfall, Arenal Volcano, and Mistico Hanging Bridges — and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The scenery was breathtaking, and each stop offered something unique and beautiful. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was my guide Brandon. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the area. I learned so much about the local wildlife, plants, and history — and felt completely taken care of the entire day.
I also did the night walk tour which started off with sloths and as it got dark we seen more creatures and got some breathtaking pictures!
I had the most amazing time on this walking tour! It was such a magical experience getting up close with sloths and frogs in their natural habitat. Wesler was my guide and was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, which made the whole tour even more enjoyable. We learned so many fun facts about the local wildlife and ecosystems. The pace was relaxed, perfect for taking in all the sights and sounds. Spotting a sleepy sloth and hearing the frogs sing was honestly unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves animals, nature, or just wants a unique and peaceful adventure! I’d recommend the night tour so you can experience the day time tour and evening tour.
If you're in the La Fortuna area, this company was amazing and I highly recommend going with them. It was the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and...
Read moreWow such a great tour! I did the waterfall/volcano/hot river combo tour and it was such a great value for everything involved. They picked me up promptly at 8am at my hotel, we did a few more pickups and then went to the La Fortuna Waterfall. Our tour guide Augusto was so enthusiastic, fun, knowledgeable, and really wanted to ensure that we had a great time. You could tell that he was very passionate about his job and showing us as much as possible. After the waterfall we went to the Arsenal Volcano, and hiked about an hour and a half to the base (Augusto pointing out animals and a lot of different plants and facts about the jungle along the way). Unfortunately the volcano was covered with clouds once we got to the base, but the valley below had a great view. Augusto told us a lot of cool facts about the volcano and history while we were up there. After our hike back down, we stopped at the Tarzan swing at the lagoon, and ate lunch at the picnic tables there (lunch was included and also delicious). Then we went to the tabacon hot river (a little crowded but overall so nice and pretty!) and Augusto gave us all mud masks while we bathed in the warm water. Then they dropped us all off at our own individuals hotels around 4pm! They were so so nice and made the experience so fun and enjoyable. Such a great way to spend the whole day and really fun people to spend it with. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking to knock out a few must-see locations in the...
