I don’t normally write reviews but this place is worthy of the highest recognition. I can not s enough good things about this restaurant. It was my girlfriends birthday and after a full day of Adventures Zip Lining and Thermal Springs in La Fortuna we went back to our Airbnb to get ready to go out. Long story short. We didn’t get out until later than we wanted Everything closes early in La Fortuna. Restaurants at 10:00pm and bars at 10:30pm. Crazy right??? I asked Siri for the best restaurants in the area and casa Fortuna looked like the perfect place. We didn’t arrive until 9:30 and they close at 10:00. My girlfriend who is from Costa Rica said that they would probably not be ok with being seated that late and would rush us if they would even seat us. I walked in the restaurant and was approached immediately by the waiter Alexis and was assured that the time was no problem. He said “we’re here for you Sir and I assure you we won’t rush service and I will personally stay as late as needed” I will be your waiter. He then followed that by saying, Thank You for choosing our Restaurant for her special day. He made us feel welcome and right at home. I will tell you this! The food and service was impeccable and I am in the food service industry and I am very picky and notice everything. I ordered a salmon tartar appetizer and it was to die for, the presentation was only surpassed by the taste. We both Chose the surf and turf special. When the entree came out it was on a sizzling cast iron platters and the flavor was delicious. The atmosphere was amazing. Your not in a building but it felt like all of the comforts of being inside. There even a old style horse carriage for photo’s. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone but it may not be suitable if your on a tight budget or extremely frugal. It was not too expensive by any means but it am wasn’t the price of meals at the soda’s in the area. I assure you it was well worth every penny. I can’t...

My fiancé and I had the pleasure of dining at Casa Fortuna, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we were seated, Wilmer and the staff made us feel truly welcomed. The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and genuinely caring.
We opted for the dinner special, choosing the churrasco with jumbo shrimp, seared tuna, and tilapia. Each dish was cooked to perfection. The churrasco was tender and flavorful, the jumbo shrimp were plump and perfectly seasoned, and both the seared tuna and tilapia had a delicate texture and fresh taste that highlighted their quality.
Not only was the food amazing, but the presentation was also top-notch. Every plate looked like a work of art, showcasing the care and skill that went into preparing the meal.
Casa Fortuna is truly a gem, and Wilmer and his team deserve high praise for creating such a memorable dining experience. We can’t...
Read moreWow! What an amazing place ! Food was absolutely awesome, even though the menu doesn't look that promising.
We had pesto pasta and quesadillas (without meat) and it was absolutely heaven! Pasta was the best we had so far in Costa Rica!
Quesadillas where perfect, came with mashed beans, pico de Gallo and guacamole and french fries! Everything very tasty and lovely arranged in the plate !
The pasta had spices sprinkled on the side of the plate, something that you don't see everyday, making it a pleasure for the eye!
Thank you so much for the kind service. Even got a free house non alcohol margherita.
Would definitely recommend
