Please ignore Renaud!! Seriously I don't know what he's on about. This place is not a single colone more expensive than any restaurant we have been to 5 days into our trip. This place is a hidden gem!! Was a little hard to find, you have to drive into the forest a bit, but it is one straight road that leads there. The atmosphere is AMAZING! Literally having dinner in the rainforest, such beautiful sounds all around us from birds to insects. ❤
Now to the food: Great prices and great quality! I don't even think a single thing on their menu is more than $10usd. Like how anybody could say this is overpriced for a fine dining experience is beyond me. Imagine growing up with such privilege as Renaud to think this place is not worth the value. All our food was beyond delicious and honestly underpriced for the area.
On top of all that such great service! Manuel is our server and he is so great and attentive! He also also very patient communicating with us which is so nice. Sincerely the best service we have had this entire trip!

Read moreRhe restaurant was recommended by a La Fortuna local, who was also our tour guide for a day. I read a few reviews and one mentioned it was hard to find. It is at the end of a road right as you pass a hotel on the left... just keep going.
We got the crab stuffed avocado. If you like creamy chicken salad, this is for you, just made qith crab. If you are a fish eater, you can't even taste the crab. It"s very good and pairs well with the avocado. Next, we shared the Snook filet with shrimp in a coconut sauce. Holy moly, the flavors! A very mild whitefish, and it looked like a stuffing ball. Rhe coconut sauce seriously set it off! The mashed potatoes and veggies were also really good.
We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate us. We got there around 6, so it was a little early. By the time we left, it was packed. Therefore, i would recommend making a reservation. Our server was very accommodating and did not rush us as we toiled over so many wonderful looking dishes on the menu.
I definitely recommend the restaurant and you should always go where the locals go...
Read moreUnfortunately, my experience was not good. Worst sea bass I've ever had. Totally mushy throughout. I couldn't eat it. We were rushed to order, and he talked to others while taking our order. Not told what sides would come. When I asked, I was told we would have baked potatoes, but we got mashed. When I asked about why, he said he'd get me a baked potato but never did. Vegetables were covered in oil. Filet was covered in a sauce not mentioned. We had to wait 40 minutes after ordering. I had to go get water for our table as no one checked on us after ordering until our food came. No one checked on our food after we received it. One steak ordered med well was still red in the middle. Our server came back 10 mins later at the end to ask how my food was. I told him I didn't like it at all. He said okay anything else? I paid and left. Topper? Automatic 10% service charge. I was recommended this restaurant I would not return. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled...
