We stayed at Costa Verde for our elopement/honeymoon and I still can’t get over how incredible the views were! The staff was nice and we loved the grounds. We stayed in room 12 at Costa Verde II. Pros: The views were OUT OF THIS WORLD GORGEOUS!! We enjoyed beautiful sunsets each day from inside or outside thanks to the panoramic windows and huge lanai. The room was spacious with two beds, a table, and seating area with flat screen TV (99% of channels are in Spanish just an FYI). There was also a nice sized kitchenette area and closet. As for the property, the grounds are immaculate and we loved seeing all of the recycling options as well as the recycled materials used throughout the property. The pool / deck area was also fantastic. Cons: My biggest complaint would be the bed which was sooo bad I actually slept on the couch three out of the four nights we stayed here. It was hard as a rock with absolutely no give. Yes, that means the very first night of our marriage I slept on the couch which is somewhat comical looking back but also pretty sad. I won't be able to forget that unfortunately. My other small complaints would be the breakfast (not included in the price) at the Anaconda restaurant. So gross neither of us ate it. The bacon was limp, eggs under-cooked and the price way too high for what you actually get. My husband also had the burger at El Avion and said it was the worst burger he’s had in quite a while. We loved the pizzas at El Wagon though, slightly greasy but I would still recommend them. Unless you are in pretty good shape, be aware the walk to the beach/local restaurants is INTENSE so I would also highly recommend taking the bus. Despite the bed issue we loved our stay. I’m not sure I can honestly say we’d stay here again (hence the 3 star rating) because the sleep part is pretty integral when you’re paying this much, but I would recommend it for weddings and views, maybe just bring a foam pad to sleep on and a roku setup if you have one.

We had our wedding here in March of 2022 and people still rave about what a great venue this was. There are different types of lodging to choose from. Villas, adult only rooms/areas, child friendly rooms/areas, etc. We had some friends staying in the cheapest rooms available. We had some stay in more mid range rooms, some in villas. We stayed in the cockpit cabana and the honeymoon suit (the "ocean view" was actually an unobstructed ocean view. AMAZING). No matter where you stay, you will likely meet a few monkeys and get a great value for where you choose. Every single person was satisfied with what they were provided. I now know that people are being honest because it's been over two years and we still get asked how we found such a perfect place. The property has different types of cuisine. Our group was impressed with the breakfast restaurant. What a view. I loved the pizza. The food is nothing fancy but there is a wide range and it is convenient and good. If you aren't feeling what they have to offer, there are so many other places nearby. The adult pool has an absolutely breathtaking view of the ocean/Manuel Antonio park. The grounds are green. The atmosphere feels authentic. The staff was WONDERFUL. We loved Marcella at the front desk and the bartender Willy. The staff also escorted my elderly parents down a hill to their room every night. As far as the wedding venue itself, we had appetizers on the knoll. Went to dinner and watched Costa Rican dancers (so fun!) in the pavilion and then returned to the knoll for fire dancers and pizza. We could not have asked for anything better! Highly suggest for a vacation or event. I don't think you will be disappointed! I cannot wait to go back!

We greatly enjoyed our days at Costa Verde. The room was lovely and we spent a lot of time on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We also enjoyed the capuchin monkeys who would climb across the balcony on the banister. We enjoyed seeing the Scarlet Mccaw flying in the morning and we saw a toucan roosting right next to our room. Unfortunately, we were there during tropical depression Sara when there was an unusual amount of rain in the area and Manuel Antonio Park was closed. We were unable to go into the park, but the tour desk was able to set us up with a Night Hike at rainmaker Park and a coffee and chocolate tour. We had a few minutes of sunshine when we first arrived and had a wonderful walk on the beach. The beach is a steep walk down the hill and you can take the public bus back up the hill if you don’t want to walk. We ate at all for restaurants on the property. El Avión was a real treat with great views of the ocean and such an original theme. We had to wonderful breakfast there, we ordered a pizza from one of the other restaurants and had it delivered to our room, and we had an excellent upscale dinner at the nicer restaurant just across the street from the entrance. The red snapper dinner was particularly impressive. The beds were comfortable, the room was very clean, and it had a small kitchen if we wanted to use it. There were a lot of steps to our room, but I’m sure they could accommodate those who have mobility issues if you ask in advance. We recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

We booked on short notice, this place really exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious and clean. We stayed at CV14 and CV12. 12 is where you want to be for amazing ocean views and picturesque sunsets. 14 had partial ocean views and was just as good but...12! The rooms had 2 queen sized beds, a refrigerator with freezer, coffee pot, utensils, kitchen table and burners for cooking. The food at the Anaconda was very tasty, mostly eating breakfast there I was never disappointed. I had the waffles, pancakes, french toast and the omelettes on different days. Easy to get on a bus to Quepos and back. The hotel offers free rides to and from different restaurants and attractions which is a great amenity. The beach is walking distance however, the entire walk does have a steep grade. If you are not used to walking this will be a challenge. We only used the adult pool area which was near the helipad/sun deck. The deck offered spectacular sunset views. If you do decide to visit Manual Antonio State Park, it is a serious hike if walking there. We were told a 10 minute walk from the beach area, plan on a 20-30 minute walk, it's just over a mile away, a taxi or bus would be the way to go. We loved it here just wish the ride to and from the airport in San Jose wasn't so long. The entire staff was friendly, polite and we were always greeted with a smile. I'm highly recommending the Hotel Costa Verde, absolutely beautiful.

The nature and location is amazing for this hotel! They also offer free shuttle to their partner restaurants which is nice. We originally booked the C130/ Cockpit Cabana but it was EXTREMELY musty and poor air quality. I have asthma and if I stayed in there I knew I would have an asthma attack. The aesthetic is so cool to sleep in the plane so I was disappointed to not be able to breathe in there. The front desk was accommodating however and allowed us to move to the Penthouse which did have great air quality and no must or mildew smell. It had a gorgeous view of the ocean and a tub outside which was lovely. It is up about 5-7 flights of stairs and with our luggage that was tricky but they do offer a bellman to help. The food at their restaurants was good. The partnering ones didn't have many options for gluten free though. There are a ton of monkeys on the property and a great pool too in the adults area. You can also walk to the beach from their property, there is a path at the back of the property down a path. Highly recommend this! I do recommend a stay here just if you have asthma or allergies beware and request penthouse, not airplane rooms due to poor ventilation.

Fantastic Hotel. Beautiful rooms, large spacious rooms. Air con & dual ceiling fans too. Spacious bathroom. Kitchen area with hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. Ours had a sea view and a veranda that was a real sun trap. Room is cleaned daily by very friendly staff. The Anaconda is great for breakfast, the team there are great too. The family pool is lovely, the Squirrel Monkeys & Iguanas cruise about there also the Agouti & Squirrel were seen too. The adult pool, bar & patio are perfect too, great views and lots of loungers with plenty if shade. 3 other restaurants are part of the Costa Verde Hotel too just a couple of mins walk away. The Reception team are helpful too whatever you require, either help booking a tour, a recombination or simply a taxi. Howler Monkeys, White Faced Capuchins in the grounds along with Toucans, Sloths etc WiFi excellent, once joined it works in all Costa Verde restaurants too. Cable TV too A few minutes walk to Manuel Antonio beach & National Park, a taxi will cost $10 or grab the bus. Would love to stay in one of the aircraft. Please do not feed the Monkeys at the Anaconda Restaurant!
