Best beach we’ve been to in Dubrovnik.
We’re on our honeymoon from Colorado (got married last week in Tuscany), and asked our bartender last night (at The Bar within the city walls) for his top recommendations for local, chill, beaches. He didn’t hesitate to say this one.
We got here at 11am on Friday morning and we’re still here two hours later. We got two loungers for €40 that included two free drinks and four bags of peanuts. The bartender/lounge chair seller is very nice and relaxed, who wouldn’t be working here.
The water is crystal clear. The music is perfectly chill jazz and cafe vibes. We’re smoking CBD and taking breaks to swim and sun tan. Mostly an older crowd here, which we prefer. Seems like only locals. There’s a beach bar nearby tucked into the trees we might check out soon. It’s been fun watching boats cruise back and forth. The beach is very clean in my opinion. Showers and changing booths...
Read moreMandrač is a very nice beach! Loads of free space, great for families with children. It has a shower, a lifeguard, and a small playground. In addition, a two-minute walk from there you have an amazing beach bar (Ponat), hidden within the trees with plenty of cool spaces to sit and have a lunch or cold beer. The Mandrač beach is not the moist amazing beach in Dubrovnik but it is a definitely one to check out, especially if you looking for a quieter place with nice pebbles and rocks hiding small fishes and octopuses.
For the best beaches in here, you must try Plaza Sveti Jakov and Šunj on the Lopud Island. (worth renting a boat! As you can also stop by the Blu Cave on the way) These are two of the best beaches in the area in my opinion.
For the party people Plaža Banje, not far from Old City will be the best choice, with good drinks, loud music, and a restaurant- Lounge Club...

Because of where it’s located it takes longer to get to, and once you’re there, there is very little shade or shelter to cool off in. It’s also very exposed because of its location on the coast, meaning there’s a constant breeze and the sea is slightly colder and choppier.
It does have nice features, there is a small play area which would be nice for families with small children, and the views are lovely. It also had a shower which...
