Restaurant Konavoka — Restaurant in Dubrovnik

Liked the look of this restaurant as we walked past but no tables. We asked the lady (think her name was Vadranka but I might have that wrong) she told us to go down the road for a drink and she would come and get us. 15 mins later she did which was great service. The place is really homely and family run, our teenage girls sat opposite us on swing chair which they liked. Vadranka was a real character, we really warmed to her. We ordered a sharing platter to start with prosciutto, anchovies, olives, hummus and squid salad - delicious! For mains we ordered lamb, chicken dalmation style and a couple of pizzas. We also had a great bottle of wine recommended. The service was a little bit slow and our mains didn't all come out together, however they were really busy so you could forgive them. A lovely little family run restaurant which is worth a visit, especially as lots of the local restaurants in this area are hotel based. Average price for this area our bill came to 140 euros but the wine...

I had dinner here about 3 weeks ago and I am still thinking about it with great delight. I had a great time dining here. From the very beginning the service was great. I have a severe food allergy, but my waiter Neven was very patient & knowledgeable about the menu and instructing me on what I could and could not eat. He strongly recommended the Fisherman’s Stew and it was magnificent. Contrary to what others might be saying, I did not feel that the wait time was bad at all. I actually liked the food, the relaxing people watching while sitting on the outside swings, and drinking the very cold Karlovačkos so much that I ended up staying an extra hour or so and having a second entree. The meat platter was also absolutely delicious. I encourage everyone to try this restaurant and spread the word. Once again, shout out to my waiter Neven. Great food. Waitress Jadranka was the best!! She recommended the seafood platter + good Croatian white wine. We went there again the following night. Same waitress; great as the last time. Waitress Jadranka enthusiastically greeted us and showed us to the same table as last night. Had the same seafood platter; requested to substitute the previous night's overcooked tuna with something else; got more good stuff. The bartender suprized us with an additional pour of white wine (Shhhhhh... he said). Jadranka also surprized us with some Croatian "Grappa"; again Shhhhh.... We're leaving Croatia tomorrow back to USA, or we may have gone back again for a 3rd dinner. Waitress Jadranka seems to have a lot of regulars that also...
