Shelby bar Dubrovnik — Restaurant in Dubrovnik

We came here 2 years ago quite a few times because the food was great. There was an older waitress with glasses who was grumpy and sarcastic but a nice lad served us mostly. 2 years later we are back and we went straight to Shelby's. The older waitress with glasses eventually served us and immediately there was something off about her. Ignored it and ordered food. I asked if I could have a coffee and she said no, asked if they could leave the egg off the burger and put it on the plate instead, she said no. Food came out and my burger was decent and I removed the egg myself 🤣, tiny amount of chips though. My partner and daughters bit into their chicken burgers to find they were rock solid. Clearly the chicken pieces had been fried a number of times and were massively overcooked. We highlighted this to the glasses lady who did not look impressed with us but did sort it out. Again though the chicken was overcooked but not as bad. Grumpy Shelby lady if you're reading this and you're the owner, please stay away from the customers and leave the polite youngsters to it. Also, check the food before it goes out because that was frankly disgusting. Oh, you don't just say no to paying customers as well sarcastically. We loved Shelby's 2 years ago, and I want it to succeed. I read the comments before posting mine and the main negative was the waitress with the glasses being sarcastic and rude. We're here for 3 more days and won't be going...

I recently visited Shelby bar with high expectations but ended up experiencing a significant delay. We waited over an hour for our food because the waiter forgot to give our order to the kitchen. While mistakes do happen and we understand that, this kind of oversight is quite disappointing and should be avoided in the future. Anyways all is forgiven!

The staff did apologize, and we eventually settled, but I was expecting a more substantial compensation for the inconvenience we faced. Unfortunately, we only received a few euros back, which didn't feel adequate given the circumstances.

Overall, while the restaurant has potential and the staff were polite, the experience was marred by the long wait and minimal compensation. I hope they improve their service to avoid such issues for future...
