My husband and I strolled into here two weeks ago behind a group so ended up avoiding the cover. Really glad we did as it’s 5CUC to take photos which is crazy. The interior is just lovely: a bit dilapidated like all of Trinidad but also delicate 19th century colors and decor all about. There are some haphazard exhibits- some in English- on Trinidad’s overall history but much is not translated and there is no information on the furniture and such. The views from the tower are stunning, SO much better than the views from La Popa. Compared to other museums we had been in Matanzas, Cardenas and Santa Clara this is more kind of tourist trap, the entry fee was like 10 times higher than in the other visited museum. The museum was poor, kind of missing much of context of the gathered things and mostly no signs in English or poor translations. Very high price and not well prepared museum.
What is worth the money is the tower with amazing view of the city and mountains. Worth to visit for this reason or if you dont have any better...
