We visited Giroud the evening of 8 January 2017. We had been staying in Trinidad a couple of days and this was our last night. I'm not sure if you can book, but we stumbled upon this atmospheric tapas style restaurant and bar as we looked for something beyond the ubiquitous, pork, lamb, fish, and beans that we'd been eating. Giroud was a godsend. The decor was eclectic and the blackboard menu listed many interesting plates. We waited 30 minutes for a table and as a party of 7 we had to split up. Tables and chairs are basic with packing crates generally used a chairs. Service was good for Cuba, still slow, but attentive. I was drawn to Giroud because they had their menu and prices clearly described on a chalk board. Read moreWe ordered drinks and a dessert. It took an eternity for the staff to serve the food and the drinks even it wasn’t this busy. The drinks were okay but had only a little ice. For dessert we had the brownie which was a little to long in the oven. At least it was one place were we were able to find something like this. The music played by the live band remembered me of a funeral and let us to leave right after finishing our drinks.
