Restaurante La Esquina 373 — Restaurant in Trinidad

Pre booked via our Casa. Arrived Valentines evening at 19:00 restaurant was not yet busy. We were given 1 menu between two people,it took 15 minutes before anyone took our order. Took awhile for our starter to come out. We finished our drinks and tried to wave down a member of staff to our a 2nd round without success. Our mains arrived and we managed to order more drinks. Unfortunately my partners shredded lamb was full of small pieces of bone which made it impossible to finish.

None of the staff tried to make you feel welcome, no one asked how our meal was until we manged to ask for the bill. We pointed out the bones and just got a shrug and a sorry. It took another 15 minutes for the bill to arrive.

A real highlight in Trinidad!

This restaurant is a must when visiting Trinidad. The service was outstanding - friendly, attentive and always with a smile. The food was fantastic, freshly prepared and full of flavour. Recommended by our tour company. Booked and had a great seat on the roof terrace. Great service and food was pretty good. Nice music and very clean. However, we were a little annoyed that no service was included but they added on a 20% tip for booking a table. We would've absolutely left a tip but feel this isn't a great thing to do...
