Hotel Alfréd a Hermína — Hotel in okres Olomouc

This hotel is absolutely the best. It’s centrally located and very near the Town Hall. It has secured parking. We had room # 33 which is the biggest room and it was huge! It’s on the 3rd floor (4th floor U.S.) with no elevator, which wasn’t a problem for us but if you are carrying a lot of luggage you may want to stay on a lower floor (0 is their 1st floor in Europe). Everything in our room was brand new. The room was super clean. It was one of the best decorated rooms I’ve ever seen. It had a huge living/dining/kitchen area. A very large separate bedroom. The bed was firm and extremely comfortable. The windows had black out blinds that you could use if you wanted. I’ve never slept so well in my life. The hotel is right on a street with a tram but once you closed the windows, it was quiet. It had closets for hanging clothes and shelves for clothes. A gorgeous shower room. The breakfast has a buffet and also a menu. The buffet was so good that we didn’t use the menu. Everyone on the staff was extremely helpful. Be sure to go to the Moravske Theater in the Town Hall square. It is a performing arts theatre. We saw “Hello Dolly” in Czech and it was amazing! Dress as well as you can as the theater is a semi formal event in Olomouc (we wish we had known this as I was extremely undressed in day glow tennis shoes!). Our favorite restaurant is the Moravska Restaurace, right next door to the theater. Olomouc is not on the tourists radar yet but it has TONS of historic and architectural sites and a UNESCO World Heritage monument. We only stayed 3 nights and wish we had stayed more, there is so...

K tomu, aby mě něco donutilo napsat moji první recenzi, to potřebovalo dlouho. Zrovna je čtvrtá hodina ranní a já, už 3 hodiny nemůžu spát, díky milému rozhodnutí hotelu a to, že do všech pokojů je nainstalovaný bojler na teplou vodu. Vy sami v pokoji, ho můžete vypnout (po zapnutí, musíte zhruba 40 minut na teplou vodu čekat). Problém je, když ten bojler nevypne soused 😄 Pokud nespíte jak hluchý medvěd, garantuji Vám bezesnou noc. A to, že hotel možná neměl jinou možnost řešení teplé vody, si myslím, že hosta nemusí zajímat.

Jsou ještě 2-3 negativní věci:

1. Okna propouštějí hluk z ulice, takže máte pocit, že Vám jezdí auta skoro u hlavy. Ale, když jste unavení, tak usnete… Samozřejmě je menší provoz v nočních hodinách.

2. Pokud přijedete autem a máte rezervované místo na parkování. Tak napřed musíte projet hodně úzkou branou, která je dlouhá pár metrů a na konci se ještě trochu zužuje. Jestli si nejste jisti při odhadu vzdálenosti nebo máte široké auto, tak bych to neriskovala, protože zdi v průjezdu jeví jasné známky aut.

3. Docela úzké schodiště, takže když vynášíte svoje zavazadla nahoru, tak musíte jít skoro bokem.

O druhém a třetím bodě se hotel na svých stránkách zmiňuje. Ale když jste na místě, tak to působí ještě jinak.

Pozitivní je poloha hotelu a pokoje sami o sobě (kromě bojleru). Pokoj je čistý a útulný. Škoda, že se majitelé nezamysleli předtím, než svůj plán zrealizovali.
