Särkänniemi Aquarium — Attraction in Tampere sub-region

The aquarium is fine, not very big so it can be seen in around 1 hour. There are stairs and no elevator so a pram was not possible to be used for our child. Downside is all information about the animals is written in Finnish, except for a few facts here and there.

The aquarium consist of two floors with about 30 exhibits. Some of which are terrariums and paludariums. Sadly many of the tanks are quite cramped with fish. They have a sturgeon that is barely able to swim in circles. Other tanks are in dire need of a proper cleaning. Okayish for young children to look at the animals.
