First off the park was very nice and clean, the reason why this review has only one star is to make people aware of the poor conditions of the animals in the aquarium. For example the axolotls are kept in a small overcrowded and bright aquarium where they have almost no hiding spots, are overly exposed to the gawking masses and just lay there all day not moving around and their gills seem very poorly developed. In the wild those animals live in muddy lakes and canals in mexico and dont like bright lights because it stresses them. The aquarium also had no vegetation which they also need. Seeing them like this made me very angry and sad. But its not the only animal that is held in poor condition. The anaconda also seemed very stressed and was constantly trying to find an exit in the glass somewhere and moving left and right like a caged tiger would do. Also the aquarium for the sturgeons, which can become very large and all types of bigger fish seemed fairly small and also overcrowded. The animals just seem to be there just to be shown off only wait for their food but they dont seem to have any spirit in them and just overall seem like they are held in very depressing conditions. The rest of the park seemed wonderful especially how lovely and cheery the staff in the petting zoo was and how they commit to the theme and the characters. But the aquarium just left a very bad impression for me which is why i decided to write this review. If you decide to make a zoo in your amusement park please please do it right and also make it amusing for the animals. Jk but please upgrade the aquarium at least for the axolotls and give them more hiding spots, muddy water dim lights and plants for the...

Särkänniemi Amusement Park is VERY good for anyone taller than 120cm. (140cm or more to access ALL rides.) Being shorter slightly diminishes the number of rides you can take, and if you're a brave 5-6 year older you "could already ride them" and realize you're not allowed everywhere...

All is not lost though, there's still plenty to do and see for the whole family, including the Koiramäki -area, Angry Birds Land, Näsinneula Tower, Aquarium and The Planetarium. The Planetarium offers a few different shows each day. The audio of these shows is in Finnish Only, but the 360° "fake-3D" view is still spectacular.

Food stands and restaurants within the area are scattered evenly around the place, which helps having a bite when ever you need one. They also offer slightly different sorts all, from hotdogs to pizza to tacos to burgers and so forth. (Priced "typically" for an amusement park.)

The price for one day access-all pass is somewhat high (46€), but you get a second day access for +12€ which makes a VERY good deal and enhances the "bang for your buck" -ratio. (Especially if you take a third day for another +12€.)

No longer has dolphins, they've been relocated due to humanitarian reasons (the local facilities were not big enough.)

Weather warning: Due to safety reasons not all rides can be operated...

I will write my feedback in English just to be sure that also international readers will understand. My feedback about Särkanniemi is simple - don't go there. You will not get value for the money. It might be ok for those who have kids old enough to access the park themselves, but with small kids you will just lose your money. The only thing that counts to access the rides is the height of the person. But the access bracelet is charged by age. And they put your kids under the microscope to get the exact height, no joke. And that tight screening increases queues, and makes you feel humiliated. So in my case, I have 3 year old kid who must have a 42 euros bracelet because of age, but as my kid is 98 cm, he can access only something like total 3 devices even with adult with him. And no word about this in the ticket office, even that they put the kid standing for height measurement. They just happily take your money. Adult bracelet is 47 euros. So I paid total 89 euros, and only thing we got is disappointed crying kid who get more fun in free rides in local Malls. I will never go there again, and suggest everybody else to look fun from...

Family friendly, not a complete concrete desert, all signs in Finnish, everyone speaks English, visit the petting zoo. As with many Scandinavian amusementparks the rides seem to have been placed on a giant concrete slab with any decorations being an after-thought. Here they have at least done a fair job at improving the looks and making it more family friendly. There is a giant monkey frame in the kids area that is a huge relief for parents of kids that have spent to much time sitting in rides and standing in line. One weird thing is that allmost all written information is only available in Finnish, but every single park attendant I asked spoke perfect English, and a few spoke Swedish (to my son's delight), so why are most price lists, signs and menues only in Finnish? There is also a delightful little "petting zoo"/living museeum/story world/playground just to the side of the main amusementpark. It is well worth a visit for both young and old, but obviously an extra delight for us parents.

A nice little city amusement park on the edge of the lake - the beautiful surroundings really do make all the difference here. It's definitely a small park; since it wasn't too busy, we only spent around three to four hours there. There aren't loads of rides, but the ones that are there are definitely thrilling - Hype was definitely my favourite for the intense launch. Trombi however was very jolty and painful, so wouldn't recommend that one! It was really easy to get to since there are plenty of bus connections and cycle paths. Car parking is expensive at 15 euros, which is good because it encourages people to get there in a more environmentally friendly way. We got lunch there too which was delicious, great vegan options and plenty of seating overlooking the lake. Overall, if you like amusement rides and you have a few hours to kill in Tampere, I'd say go for it!
