What initially stuns you when you enter the place is a fabulous 360 degrees view all over Tampere. Then you realize that it slowly spins so when sitting at the table you will actually see all the views that there are.
I went there as a part of an organized group and didn't really pay attention to what the place was before coming there. And I was up for an exotic experience.
We got a 5-dish menu, and each of the things blew my mind. It's more of a fancy kind of cuisine, and you can see how much attention they invest into even the smallest of the starters.
Normally, I'd me more up for everyday kind of food, so my delight speaks volumes here.
The menu is changing occasionally and I'd totally go back for another round. In fact, I'd go for a tasting menu, as it allows to taste even more varied stuff.
They serve local craft beer, and it's really good. My friend who is into wine was really happy with the choice too, especially with one of the dessert wine options that's hard to stumble upon.
Initially I took the service for a bit cold and distanced, but after a couple of exchanges and jokes we learned how warm and friendly our senior server was. And how much she cares about the job she's doing.

Read moreHad three course diner. Every dish was ok, but nothing more than that. All courses looked better than tasted. Flavours were pretty basic, and nothing that I couldn't recreate at home.
Service wise staff did the bare minimum in professional manner, but nothing more. I also found service quite slow. They had, even on lunch, non-printed extra charges for tap water and tea, which I always find a bit misleading and disappointing.
Views were excellent. That's a definitely the best part, although you could see the views for free from a floor below the restaurant.
If you wish to take guests to see city from above while dining, this is a decent (and only) option. Otherwise I would go somewhere else, and maybe visit separately to see the view. However, Pyynikki observation tower is a better option for views...
Read moreBest views in town. One of the few rotating panorama restaurants in Europe, situated on top of the tallest building in the nordics. Pretty expensive, but you could just visit for a coffee. I have eaten here twice: the Finlandia menu a year ago, and now the 8 part tasting menu. Both were good with attentive service and thought out wine packages with some very positive surprises. There were some misses though - the mains seem to struggle to reach the level of the smaller dishes. We had the fish as a main, although good the sides reminded me of frozen cubed veggies. There's some innovation though, i'd say enough to justify a visit. The service staff is an army with discipline which...
