Château de Chenonceau

Thanks to the two-story gallery built on the bridge crossing the river, this castle has a very memorable architecture. The rooms in the castle were numbered, which helped orientation and prevented missing something in the castle. The information in the audio guide was interestingly solved as a narration in the form of the last female owner, about her vision in the restoration of the castle, and the audio guide itself was also easy and convenient to use. The narration was also accompanied by pictures on the audio guide screen, and it was possible to pause it and listen to the narrations again. Most of the rooms were furnished and displayed as bedrooms, which is a rather unusual approach. Each bedroom was dedicated to a different famous figure associated with the castle. The gardens were quite simple, and since it was a very hot day, we only looked at them briefly, and for the same reason we missed a walk in the gardens and the park further away. All in all, it was a very positive experience, and what I saw there was made more special by the connection of very famous historical figures to this castle.
