Extime Duty Free Paris — Attraction in Meaux

I had intentions to purchase something at this store. However, an employee came to the door when I went to enter and asked where my final destination was in English. I didn’t share that with her. Instead I asked if they were open, since it was the morning and the gate was partially up. She said no and I asked her WHAT TIME they open. She said I wouldn't have time to come in and proceeded to ask were I was going and what my final destination was.

I think there may have been a language barrier. But either way it was a very rude interaction. I just wanted to know what time they opened. My flight left in the afternoon and I had plenty of time to shop or...

The cashier literally stole 10 euro from me. I purchased 2 boxes of overpriced chocolates "on sale" for my kids for around $34. I asked to combine my leftover 26 euros with a credit payment. Only at home in the US I realized that I was charged $18+ on credit instead of $8+. Cashier hurried to request my passport apparently to disguise that she pocketed $10 of my cash, while for some reason returning 1 euro coin. A distracting tactic? There was no line for an excuse. They gave 8.42 discount just to take extra 10 away from the customer. Shame on you! Please stay away from this...

If I could give -10 stars I would. The most awful service I have ever experienced. I was entitled to a 20% discount after buying 2 perfumes. When I approached a sales representative, she was extremely rude in front of all the customers, telling me that it was my responsibility to let them know that I wanted the discount.
