Je vis au port et ma mère a eu sa cérémonie funéraire dans cette église il y a plus de 20 ans. Ce lieu comptait pour nous.

Aujourd’hui, quelle tristesse de voir le prêtre accueillir les familles en deuil au milieu de personnes en errance, parfois agressives, installées sur le parvis. L’endroit sent régulièrement l’urine, et le cadre n’est plus digne ni respectueux.

Il y a un an, j’en avais parlé au curé, qui m’avait répondu qu’il faisait appel à la police. La police municipale, de son côté, m’assure qu’elle peut intervenir à la demande de la paroisse.

Lors d’une récente cérémonie, le prêtre, sur le parvis, accueillait les proches d’un défunt au milieu de cette situation. Quand je lui ai exprimé mon malaise, sa seule réponse a été : Mais où voulez-vous qu’ils aillent ?
