This is the best shellfish meal I have ever eaten anywhere in the world. This place is relatively new, but has the feel of a place that is going to become a big deal.
We got a mix of different oysters, clams, shrimp, and langoustine, and they were all incredible. (The razor clams were especially good and unique with their homemade marinades, but the raw oysters were also 10 out of 10). Nicholas, the owner, was also a great host, telling us all about his family's generations of aquaculture methods Marseilles help to produce flavorful, full shellfish.
We also loved how menu is intentionally simple, highlighting what they do best (shellfish) and offering only (real) champagne and 2 white wines produced in the and area as their food. If you choose the wines, he will have you taste both to pick the best one for your meal.
We went when the restaurant was still relatively new, so they don't yet have umbrellas outsideor A/C inside, but the sun went down soon and then it was absolutely perfect eating on the little sidewalk...

There are normally only 8 tables (except on Sundays when there are more), all situated outside. What I particularly like is that you'd probably never find this eating treasure, given that it is somewhat off the beaten track and well away from the tourist traps in the old town. However, the reviews for this place speak for themselves, making this a 'must' for all lovers of fruits de mare.
The front of the house is a young guy who is passionate about his seafood and is happy to explain the virtues of each dish. We washed down our platters with a very fine bottle of Viognier. This place is definitely worth a visit. If you are ever in the Nice port, you should absolutely give Coquillages Bouchet a try (we came back again for lunch on our final...

Last Sunday, I had lunch at this restaurant with a friend, and it turned out to be one of the worst decisions of my life. The doctor confirmed my suspicions – yes, it was the oysters. They were not fresh.
It has now been nearly a week, and I am still in the hospital.
I never imagined that a restaurant serving hundreds of tourists daily could be so reckless with food quality. But here we are. If you value your health, stay far away – unless you want to experience what I’ve been enduring for the past five days.
P.S. I’m sure the management will soon respond with the usual “This is impossible” excuse. But let’s be honest, we all know the saying: every frog praises...
