Very Rude Staff and Poorly Managed Office
We applied for our visas online in late March and were instructed to bring our application documents to the office for submission. However, when we arrived at the Paris office—after traveling over three hours—we were informed that the policy had changed just three days prior, rendering our application invalid. We were told we now had to resubmit the application and wait again.
The staff, particularly the woman we spoke to, was extremely unhelpful and unwilling to listen to our situation. There was no prior communication from the center regarding the policy change. Apparently, we were expected to check the Chinese Visa Application Center’s website daily, as if it were part of everyone’s morning routine in France.
It should have been the center’s responsibility to inform applicants who had already submitted their applications before the change. Failing that, they should have accepted the applications as submitted. We weren’t the only ones affected—several other people were also turned away for the same reason that day.
CVASC, please consider hiring staff who are at least courteous, if not helpful. The entire experience was a complete waste of time,...

So I had to leave the building for my phone to get range and start working again, and when I went back in, another lady took care of my payment. An absolute sweety I must add! And she knew english which helped a lot), were really nice and considerate! They tried they're very best to explain things to me in english as I didn't know French or Chinese, even though it was difficult for them, and they were super polite and I honestly felt like I should definitely visit China if they were the kind of people...
Read moreTo the old lady at counter with glasses and short hair who speaks loudly so everyone can hear. While waiting, I believe I heard you like to say to clients : “je suis seulement une guichetière”
I felt compelled to share my appalling experience at the Chinese visa center. The old lady at the counter was not just loud, but shockingly rude and dismissive. She seemed more interested in barking orders at clients rather than allowing them to speak. Even when she pretended to be polite, she would just push and say “好不好” to my Chinese wife without giving anyone a chance to respond. Please stop pretending to be nice with your fake smile and condescending attitude. Your behavior is unacceptable and...
