Good morning A bit of context: I rented a property in Paris from 31st of May until 1st of July .. then asking for an extension until 13th of July for professional reasons and convenience. Hostnfly … was a nightmare for me. Put aside that the property i rented was good, rooms are spacious(even if old furnitures) and very well placed, I will go straight to the point by saying I WAS TOTALLY disappointed and more than that, totally upset against the service from the host which is a professional host named “Hosntfly”. I strongly not recommend using a property managed by Hostnfly Only facts: I booked several days before landing to Paris with my family (baby girl of 7 months old and a boy of 4 years old). I landed late on the night of 31st so I booked that day and the keys were supposed to be collected by a friend of mine. When I landed, I discovered a message from this professional host saying they got an issue to give the key and informed us to go to the apartment the day after !!!! Nothing else from them like a better service to deal with this issue at 9:30 pm. I had to send them many messages on Airbnb messenger finally just having from them a proposition of an hotel location in the same street of the property….. Coming the day after, I asked for an early check in of course, I got the surprise to see the flat’s owners there, they gave me all the keys (meaning the professional host got zero keys on hand which explained previous day issues) and decided to stay there for few hours before leaving the flat (they were nice by the way): we would have prefer to have some safety measures and get the property by ourself – the professional host was only available to deliver the bed linen and sheets and we had to put it OURSELF ( The second option was to wait for few hours having someone from the host to be sent) : Service rating = 0 One week after, to get out of my self quarantine coming from abroad, I had to do a PCR test which was positive .. I am not saying I got the COVID here, but just mentioning that after beging tested positive I had to remind them the refund of the first night asking them to refund as well the gap between the night at the hotel and the daily rate of the Airbnb as we were not supposed to have all these issues, this was not accepted by the professional host just answering “Sorry”. One week and a half bedore the end of our rent (we were supposed to chech out on the 1st of july”) I’ve sent a message to the proefeional host asking for an extension until the 13th of july for professional reasons. They accepted and told me they will block the calendar and even send a cleaning service for the flat. I asked them to send me the link of payment with the modified date on 28th of June. On 28th I remind them , I also tried to modify the date online but not possible: the professional host answered me then that dates are not available anymore from 5th of july to 13th … again they were “sorry” of the situation. Each time I asked someone to call me I had someone else on line. Once I got a said maanger who answered me “to move onwards” and to accept some relocation options ! I was so upset of the answer as I didn’t want to move with my family for one week and a half! Onwards I also discovered an email forwarded by the owner in which the professional host strongly asked them not to discuss and make some deals Anyway, I am referring to what should be fair in this kind of situation, this professional host is not suitable at all for this business: of course, I am referring to my own and bad experience to affirm that. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with this host. I saved all the messages of our exchanges with the host! SCANDALOUS service.

22nd of july: Just saw your answer Ronan : are you serious? You ve sent me a message on Airbnb messenger confirming me you gonna block the calendar ... So at least i have to trust my host .... i never said to cancel the booking of the future guest, i just answered you on "to move onwards" , i would have thought that current guest got the priority and then you to propose a solution...

Hostnfly is a sleazy, deceptive company! And shame on Airbnb for doing business with them. I would give a negative star if I could.

Worst experience on Airbnb EVER, and we have been customers that have received excellent reviews on Airbnb for 9 years. This was our second time renting on Airbnb with a third party, and the first time wasn't great either.

Buyer Beware! Rent from owner run places only!

Got to apartment after having to first have the inconvenience of retrieving the key at a little dirty market 1/2 mile away, with luggage in toe, after traveling from airport and 7 hour flight. Arrived at apartment at 5pm (check-in supposed to be available at 3pm) to a filthy unmade apartment-- sofa couch was out and unmade, bed in bedroom unmade, poo stain on bedcover, dirty dishes and wine bottles strewn about, filthy bathroom and sink. Cleaner arrived 1/2 hour after us and we sat exhausted in the apartment as cleaner cleaned and finally left at 6:45pm.

This apartment is not owner run--the management company "Hostnfly" is awful and offered us 10 Euro to leave while cleaner cleaned and then told us we'd have to submit a receipt for reimbursement of frikkin 10 Euro! When I asked to speak to dumb snotty "Mary's" supervisor, she said NO. What a sleazy company! We had to cancel all plans for the night because we had no use of facility to unpack, rest, shower.

Awful experience. Then we had to battle for two weeks with Hostnflybynight and Airbnb, WHILE ON VACATION, to get some fair compensation for losing the night and having no use of the broken washing machine. Additionally, there is no backyard as published and the apartment does not look like photos.

Conveniently, sleazy Airbnb did not post this review.

My advice-- stay away from any properties managed by 3rd parties, especially Hostnfly. Airbnb allows this and it's a black m ark on them for doing so! Next time VRBO, and only owner-operated. Our experience with owners in every rental we've had over nine years--Corsica, Provence, New Hampshire, Sedona, Quebec, Croatia, etc has been lovely, honest and professional. is a sleazy, deceptive company! And shame on Airbnb for doing...

Their business mindset is pretty concerning, I only made very low profit (600€) during the month of the Olympic Games in paris 2024! When they said the door handle of my apartment broke one week before the Olympics, they just canceled reservations and gave me a penalty fee for late canceling instead of calling a locksmith and taking action to keep earning money from rentals. I had to call one myself, spent 1000€ out of pocket, and he fixed it within 3 days. I guess they didn’t care about making money… they just wanted to work less. Came back home and the laundry machine was broken, the inside of the fridge smelled like rotten fish and there was trash everywhere, dishes were greasy and a colony of mold grew inside the dishwasher. Their compensation was 20€ and said they couldn’t do anything. First, I was assigned a cleaning agent whom I was supposed to meet to give my keys but he ghosted. I called HostnFly and they told me he quitted 2 weeks ago. So a random stranger was trying to take my keys and no one even notified me that there was a change of cleaning person. The new cleaning lady was dramatic and called me to charge extra for cleaning (120€) because she saw a bit of dust somewhere. Her cleaning team was incompetent, they left my place even dirtier than before and all the dirty sheet were rolled into a ball in the closet. They never even emptied the vaccum once, that it got so clogged and the floor was sticky. There was gum stuck on several walls, alcohol bottles under the beds and fake nails inside drawers. HostnFly was just beating around the bush for months before telling me they couldn’t do much because “oh, sometimes we can’t control what travelers do, and oh, the insurance didn’t want to help!” But yet they’re the ones promising on their website to hand pick trusted and reviewed travelers and they’re also responsible for hiring competent cleaning people. I’d never use their...

🦠 MOLD EVERYWHERE – TOTAL HEALTH HAZARD! 🚨 DO NOT STAY HERE! 🚨🦠🦠🤢 The Appartment in on 129 Rue Blomet, Porte de Versailles, 75015, Paris. If I could give this place 0 rating, I would. My pregnant fiancée and I booked this place, thinking it’d be a nice stay in Paris. But as soon as we walked in, we saw mold everywhere—on the walls, the ceiling, everything. It smelled terrible, like a health hazard waiting to happen. We called the landlord right away, and their answer? “We’ll send a technician.” Are you kidding me? This place needs a hazmat team or just to be shut down completely. Mold this bad isn’t just gross—it’s dangerous. We didn’t even unpack. We grabbed our stuff and left immediately, booking another hotel instead. Later, we contacted the landlord, and they offered us 80 euros as a refund. Really? For a place we couldn’t even stay in for five minutes? That’s just insulting. WE LOST OVER 500 EUR ON THIS PLACE. We’re now reporting this to the French health authorities because no one should be allowed to rent out a place in this condition. We’re also trying to get our money back through the bank, but who knows if that’ll work.
