La Cigale is one of Paris’s most iconic and intimate concert venues – and an absolute must for music lovers. Tucked away in the lively Pigalle neighborhood, it has a charm that combines old-world elegance with a raw, electric energy that comes alive during performances.

The hall itself is stunning, with beautiful red velvet seating, ornate balconies, and that classic Parisian theater feel. The acoustics are excellent – you can really feel the music, whether you're standing in the pit or seated in the mezzanine. I’ve seen everything from indie rock to soul artists here, and the sound quality has been consistently impressive.

What really makes La Cigale special is how close you feel to the performers. It’s large enough to host well-known acts, but small enough that no matter where you are, the experience feels personal and immersive.

One important tip that’s often overlooked: don’t forget to tip the ushers! Many of them work hard to help people find their seats quickly and keep the crowd flowing smoothly, especially during sold-out shows. It’s a small gesture that goes a long way, and it’s part of the concert etiquette at venues like this.

The venue is easy to access by metro (right near Pigalle station), and there are plenty of great spots to grab a drink or bite before or after the show.

Whether you're a local or just visiting Paris, catching a concert at La Cigale is an experience you won’t forget.

Went to La Cigale to see Declan McKenna’s last show of his album launch tour. La Cigale really did this concert justice. It’s a lovely concert hall, nestled in the heart of Paris. It’s known for its vibrant ambiance and exceptional acoustics. What sets this venue apart is its bouncy floor. Yes, bouncy floor! It’s a unique sensation, the floor seems to move with the rhythm of the music and the jumping of the crowd, enhancing the overall experience of the show. This feature, coupled with the venue's excellent sound quality and intimate setting, makes La Cigale a must-visit for any music enthusiast looking for a memorable night...
