I arrived in Paris without a hotel booking. I had hoped to book on the train over from the UK but the Wi-Fi was not up to it. So this was an off the street booking. From the start I was struck by how helpful and friendly the staff are. This continued throughout my stay. I was assisted by many members of the team and there is a good team spirit in the hotel. ||My room was a good size and there was a comfortable bed and a nice en suite. The room was perhaps a little stark and the ceiling of the bathroom needs a little touch up decor, but this was a hotel that was offering very good value for money compared to other alternatives nearby.||The hotel does not offer breakfast but it has a pleasant seating area with a coffee machine and coffee was free up to I think 11 o'clock in the morning . There were little tokens that you put into a slot in order to get the coffee. The hotel are very happy for you to gather together some breakfast fare from the nearby bakeries and so forth and partake of this in the seating area.||The hotel is close to both Gare du Nord and Montmartre. The Metro Station Anvers is even more nearby. It was a short walk from the hotel and I discovered on my last day that there was an even shorter walk if I taken a different road. For me this was a very good metro line and I was able to see many places I wanted to go to in a few days without any, or too many, line changes. I rather like seeing cities in this way, by seeking to make the most of tube lines or tram lines that are close to where I am staying.||While I remember I would recommend a repairs and alteration shop called M'Apostrophe which is nearby. There was a very charming seamstress there who helped me when I was lost. There were some very chic dresses on a hanger that I assume belonged to local Parisians. I understand that the seamstress is very well thought of and so if one was to have a wardrobe malfunction whilst in Paris I think this would be the ideal place to put things right.||I really enjoyed my few days in Paris and I'm grateful to the team at the Vintage hotel who looked after...
Read morei wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here. it’s more of a hostel than a hotel which isn’t worth the price of what we paid for. the rooms were decent; tv and double and a single bed. really small bathroom and shower. there was 2 nice receptionist there out of the several that we spoke to during our stay. (5 nights). i’m not sure of anyone’s names but the gentleman who checked us in on the afternoon of wednesday 3rd july 2024. (had a broken arm). and the gentleman who helped us with the leak in our room early hours of saturday 6th july 2024 was lovely as well and moved our rooms immediately. the other receptionist weren’t helpful and would give us weird looks when we asked questions or needed anything like extra towels or tokens for the coffee machines. i felt very uncomfortable in this hotel and felt i couldn’t ask staff for anything. (unless the two nice receptionists that i spoke about) but they weren’t there a lot was mainly the other receptionists. the first room we stayed in, we couldn’t get the air conditioning working at first but on the third day decided to start working which then leaked all over the single bed early hours in the morning causing us to move. The lift also wasn’t turned on so we had to walk 5 flights of stairs every day. The rooms are very basic, there’s no wardrobe, draws, hangers and the shampoo and hand wash in the bathrooms were empty, the towels were also very small. Some of the décor was okay although half of it looked worn and unfinished. the area where the hostel/ hotel is 10 minutes from sacré-courer so it’s not too bad location wise but from reading other reviews there are better places to stay if you wanted to stay near here. NO SAFE, DONT LEAVE MONEY IN ROOM. finally, staff don’t seem to read when the do not disturb sign is on the door and come in and clean the room anyways. moreover, i would not recommend this hotel. it wasn’t our first choice in hotel as we have been to paris before and stayed somewhere else which was nicer but it was unavailable for our time we...
Read moreShort version : Disappointing to the point to be upset, Don't trust the pictures. Cheap Hotel/homeless shelter feel. Not worth the price bad internet no entertainment THIS PLACE NEEDS A FULL Refurb.
Check in the pictures the difference between the advertised bed and the actual bed*
Longer Version: I wanted to introduce my partner to hostels and this was simply the wrong choice, she was very reluctant and this made it worse... *The Place : feels like a cheap old hotel from reception to stairs to lift , corridors and room. *The room: Had absolutely nothing to do with the advertised/pictured one: Cracks and dirt everywhere in the bathroom, No TV (as advertised), Very dirty Carpet, Windows let cold air in, No Safe in the room (as advertised) No lights near the bed (as advertised), Only the main one , near the door of course. -ONLY ONE Power socket Near the entrance door they added an extension and glued it to the wall by the door. -Bathroom: Dirty corners, large cracks under the sink and traces of some equipment that has been removed on the floor next to the toilet.. -Bed doesn't look like on the picture, We booked a double room but it was actually Two single bed put next to each other and of course they Start going apart during the night. WIFI: Rubbish, we ended up using our own 4G because internet was most of the time down. Entertainment : ZERO , ah there is a TV in the common area but that's all, we find a Big Board-game box , opened it : just trivial Pursuit inside .
Staff interaction is really limited and sometimes feels like there is no one in the place, everyone looked depressed or probably very upset and disappointed of having paid to stay in this place . (not blaming the staff but the MANAGEMENT)
I would never, ever, stay here nor recommend it to anyone, simply because everything here is wrong, even the price, they might argue that the location worth the price but there are so many better places around the same...
