The Petite Ceinture is a hidden gem in Paris—a former 32 km railway line once used for passenger and freight transport, now transformed into a peaceful green corridor. Abandoned since the 1980s and slowly reclaimed by nature, this urban trail winds through the city’s 15th arrondissement, offering a unique blend of wild vegetation, historic infrastructure, and serene walking paths. It’s an ideal spot for a jog, a quiet stroll, or simply enjoying a pocket of biodiversity in the midst of the urban landscape. A beautiful example of how old industrial spaces can become living green...

Very nice hidden gem in the neighborhood! I'm a sucker for repurposed train track routes and what-not. A bit of a "short" walk (a passage seems to be blocked off to the west), but nevertheless, worth the visit! The Voie 15 is a very cool café / coworking space at 3/4 of the way...

Something you might not think of when visiting Paris, but these paths are opening up more and more. Basically, it's a repurposing of the ancient rail system that was used to bring in merchandise to the city in the early 1900's. Great for a stroll... or to add to your...
