If I could give this a minus rating for rooms and service I would. ||One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and booked 2 rooms — 402 and 433. Room 402 was fine, but Room 433 had a nasty smell from the start. About an hour after checking in, the ceiling started leaking. When we went to reception, they gave us a mop to clean it ourselves and told us to stay in the room, refusing to change it.||Later, after returning from Paris, ceiling tiles actually fell on my son as we walked back into the room. We went to reception again, but were told there were no other rooms available and that we had to continue staying in the same one. Since we had two rooms booked, all four of us ended up sleeping in one room — two kids (10 and 12) and one parent in the bed, and the other adult on the floor using a blanket as a mattress.||Each time we went to reception, we were told “the manager isn’t around, so nothing can be done” because the hotel was fully booked. By this point, the smell was unbearable. The staff suggested we check their other branch for availability, and we wasted nearly 2 hours trying to find another hotel, but with no luck.||At checkout, I finally spoke to the manager. He refused to refund the full cost, arguing that we had “used the room.” I explained that Room 433 was completely unusable and we had been forced to squeeze four people into one room, but he wouldn’t accept it. Instead, he acted as if he was doing me a favour by refunding just £130 — the cost of one night.||This trip was supposed to be a family break in Paris. Instead of enjoying the city, we spent mornings trying to sort out the room situation, constantly told to “wait a few more hours” to see if something could be done.||The daytime reception staff were useless and unhelpful, as everything depended on the manager. And if the manager wasn’t working, you were simply left stranded.||If you’re thinking of staying here because it’s cheap and commutable to Paris, think again. Yes, it’s “cheap(ish),” but the service, accommodation, and room quality are appalling. It completely ruined our family trip, and despite everything, we didn’t even get a proper refund.||One of our rooms had a ceiling leak, and within hours, ceiling tiles actually fell on my son, leaving him with a bump and headache. Not once did the manager or staff offer first aid, medical help, or even a genuine apology. Their only response was indifference.||I ended up sleeping on the floor with just a duvet from the unusable room while my kids and partner crammed into one bed. The staff didn’t care, and the manager made us feel like we were the problem.||This was supposed to be a special family break in Paris, but instead of enjoying the city, we spent our days chasing the hotel for solutions that never came. Absolutely unacceptable — I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel if you value your safety, comfort, and money.||I am hoping someone from Adagio contacts me, as we paid for the roo,m which was never used and the trauma that we went through. But I doubt that it...
Read moreA Four-Star Hotel… or a Masterpiece of Mismanagement? It’s advertised as a four-star hotel, but the facilities scream three stars at best, while the front desk service barely qualifies for two. No matter which staff member you approach, their main goal seems to be dismissing any issues as quickly as possible. Efficiency? More like “get rid of the problem and move on.”
A Mysterious Extra Charge—A Modern Hotel Scam? I booked directly through the hotel's official website, clearly stated as a reservation for two adults and two children. All fees, including city tax, were fully paid in advance. Yet, upon check-in, without a single word of confirmation or explanation, they charged me extra for city tax. It was only later that I noticed I had somehow been charged twice the expected amount. Upon questioning, I was informed that their system had mysteriously classified our group as four adults. No apology, no explanation—just a shrug. I can’t help but wonder how many unsuspecting guests have fallen into this well-crafted trap before me.
Where Are the Staff? An Exciting Game of Hide and Seek (at 3 PM!) When we arrived for check-in at 3 PM, the entire front desk area was eerily empty. It took five full minutes before a staff member finally appeared. I guess four-star service includes an element of suspense?
Parking Password: A One-Day Ticket to Inconvenience At check-in, I was given a parking code. Unfortunately, it was March 1st, and the code expired the next day. Translation: after parking my car in their garage, the next morning, the code was useless—meaning I couldn't drive my car out. A small but crucial detail they could have mentioned beforehand, don’t you think?
No Hot Water? The Nightly Surprise Challenge (Reported Twice on Different Days!) I reported twice on different days that there was no hot water from midnight to 1 AM. Some front desk staff were wonderfully polite, apologizing sincerely and promising to look into it. And then… silence. The problem persisted for the next few nights. Eventually, I just gave up on reporting it—because what’s the point?
Extra Blanket? Consider It an Urban Legend (Also Reported Twice on Different Days!) Twice, on two different days, I requested an extra blanket because the room was freezing at night. Both times, the front desk assured me they would send one up. And both times? Nothing. I guess they meant “someday, in another life.”
A DIY Suite: The Ultimate "Four-Person" Room Experience I booked a four-person room. Upon arrival, I discovered that we had to set up the sofa bed ourselves. To add to the experience, there were only two sets of towels provided. Is this… normal? Or is this just part of the “interactive hotel...

If you are staying at this hotel thinking it's cheap and commutable to Paris, think again as while it's cheap(ish) but service, accommodation and quality of the rooms are appaling and it ruined our stay and didn't even get our refund no matter what. I was sleeping on the floor on duvet from the bad room but manager or the staff didn't seem to care.
On top of everything the ceiling which fell on my son he was left with a bump and headache for a day or so but manager or the staff didn't seem to care about that as not once we were asked for first aid/doctor etc etc.
hope this helps and you think twice before booking your stay.
