MAP - Marché aux Puces de Paris Saint-Ouen — Attraction in Saint-Denis

Loved the Paris Flea Market. Was a challenge to get to due to the Clignacourt metro station being closed currently, but Uber'd there with ease. Great food and drink options in area, from affordable takeaway on up (had moules with pommes frites at Le Coq D'Or).

There are many different markets, catering to different markets of people. One person in my group wanted to stay away from the cheap/affordable markets specializing in (probably fake) brand name clothes and merchandise. However, my husband, my two kids and I enjoyed our time here, and the vendors seemed much friendlier than the "high end" folks. I bought beautiful Senegalese pantaloons, a caftan, and several other garments for us, and we felt like we left with great prizes and fun memories.

The high-end markets sell antiques and art. We went into a stall specializing in one artist's paintings, and we asked the vendor the price of a painting, and he said he wasn't sure, giving the impression that if you have to ask you probably can't afford it.

We did not go into the section of markets south of the highway. The markets have a big highway running across them. If you are on foot, you walk under the highway. We drove under it in our Uber, and it looked intimidating in terms of there being lots of folks hanging out under the highway. (Granted, it was a hot day, so of course you're going to stand...

I had higher expectations for this market after seeing so many videos online about how great it was, when the uber dropped us off it was basically an underpass where the market was in an unsafe area I didn’t feel comfortable walking around.

We eventually found the vintage market after passing the fake designer section and spent a couple of hours walking around but came away with nothing. I vintage shop a lot and everything at this market was either over priced and some mass produced items.

Really not worth taking a day out of your Paris trip 30 minutes outside of the city, theres definitely better ways to spend a Sunday...

Es un conjunto de mercados con distintas galerías que tienen dentro puestos de diferentes temáticas. Hay auténticas joyas si tienes tiempo,ganas y dinero pero también hay muchas cosas viejas y a veces el olor se hace intenso como a polvo. En algunos puestos salías con sensación estar viendo objetos de película de miedo y a veces no me resultó muy agradable. Tampoco me gustó que hubiera objetivos decorativos de taxidermia o prótesis.Incluso encontramos alguna figura funeraria. Al ser tan enorme tiene de todo y hay espacios impresionantes y llenos de belleza nostálgica también. Los amantes de la fotografía lo disfrutarán mucho, aunque en algunos sitios no permiten hacer fotos También es genial si quieres encontrar un objeto decorativo especial o ropa retro y antigua para caracterizar un personaje de teatro o ópera. Mención especial a un tiendecita que hace esquina frente a la puerta principal del pasaje de la nave espacial ,de muebles de colores, baldosas y pomos que está muy bien de precio y en la que compramos, el dependiente fue muy amable. Hay una tienda de trajes antiguos, la mayoría bordados que se llama Leyla en la que la dependienta fue muy simpática con nosotros también y tiene trajes preciosos. No me pareció un lugar muy agradable para ir con niños, los otros vendedores por lo general no fueron amables con ellos y algunas cosas les impresionaron, aunque hay también puestos de comics y juguetes viejos pero enseguida les hablan mal para decirles que no toquen nada. Los alrededores y el barrio me dieron bastante sensación de inseguridad porque aunque el auténtico mercado de las pulgas está en medio, alrededor hay como un par de mercadillos normales de ropa falsificada en los que no me sentí nada cómoda.
