I was here for the Berlin international Literatur Festival. And thus this venue was the hotspot for most of the events. The location is pretty ideal: central and with good public transport connectivity. Here, I was exposed to poetry in a way that's unforgettable, and I'm sure the 'geist' (spirit) of the venue itself had a lot to do with that.

One of my favourite dance stages in Berlin. Really nice lounge bar in the upper floor. Interesting crowd and always amazing shows. I really like modern dance with the electric music. Sometimes really breathtaking! Last show was from the theater Gaultier from Stuttgart. I love all that crew!!!!

We saw the documentation about Hillary Rodham Clinton! It was awesome! Hillary gave a interview after the movie. 50/50 is long overdue. Thank you Berlinale for organizing this amazing interview with Hillary. Best day ever! Hillary is my hero!

WARNING! If you walk past the area between 16:45-17:30 there will be a group of older people outside with their very aggressive dogs. They have their dogs off lead and the dogs roam freely. Every day I and others are being chased off even though you walk on a different side of the road. The dogs will run up to you, circulate around you and bard like crazy. It is very very disrespectful to people who just want to walk by or exist in the same area and want to peacefully walk around there without being attacked by dogs. The "owners" have ZERO control over the dogs and cannot call the dogs back or control them.

I feel fearful just walking close to the area.

This makes me really sad as I like the area and the Berliner...

Hub of Berlinale Film Festival. I use this place only for the occasions of Berlinale, but to me it is horrible. Worst one is always Friedrichstrasse Palast but both the venues have small seats with small leg spaces. Berliner Festspiele has 5 floor venue and usually we end up with 4th floor where the screen is tiny and if some relatively tall person sits in front of you, the view will be totally disturbed. I saw so many people asking persons in front not to move and sit low. And when people leave, the stairs will be chaotic and I worry how smoothly we can evacuate if emergency happens... Staff are nice but ticket box is hard to find and it is not so well organized...
