After passing plenty of asian restaurants that we were familiar with, we decided to try something new and considering the abundance of people sitting at Nyom we thought that it was a good choice.
We sat down and were quickly tended to, the waitress was very polite. Not long after another waitress approached us and asked if we could put our belongings under the table (baring in mind that these belongings were already between us and the wall—impossible to obstruct the staff). Unclear of this interaction we carried on as normal. We ordered the Pagodadream, Cloud Nice Tofu and the Vegan Pot.
Before long the food arrived and we were very hungry and excited. We dug in immediately and to our surprise and disappointment; we all looked at eachother and sighed. The food was watery, bland and tasted like a cheap takeaway chinese. The vegetables were all crinkle-cut—and tasted like they were frozen and re-heated. The sauces were had flavours that tasted very unnatural and left us feeling sickly and unsatisfied. We all ate as much as we could because we hate food waste, but we really were not happy about it. We asked for the bill, had another very pleasant interaction with a staff member and left.
I would highly recommend against eating at this restaurant because quite frankly the quality of food is revolting for the price range. For this quality of food (to me almost inedible) should be a quarter of the price.
Taking all of this into consideration; the staff as a whole were wonderful and the environment was very comfortable and...
Read moreWe went here with high expectations as the queue was long and the menu seemed “trustworthy” and inviting. We ordered these meals as follows:
pork bbq with pakchoy: we couldn’t finish it cuz the meat is so dry to the point where we thought you should’ve named it “porc jerk” instead; Hanoi soup: the MSG taste is so STRONG, too salty, the rice noodles are overcooked, the beef is okay, but still, the condiments are not complimenting its price honestly. From Asian’s perspective, please improve this meal as you are representing our pride in European country; Chicken wings: the quantity is okay, but the size of the chicken is just too small; Aubergine: this the “best” meal amongst all from our orders. Keep up the good work; Sticky rice: it even got dried within 30minutes.
im really sorry i had to give you 2/5 for the foods. i just want you to take the feedback into account so that you will improve the quality of your meals and thus you’ll have even more customers without compromising your foods’ quality! Asian to Asian, i wish you a good luck with your business! hashtag Asian...
Read moreEnglish and German below.
ENGLISH I visited this restaurant with a large group of friends and family. The atmosphere is very nice, the restaurant is clean, and the service was fast. However, the food was rather commercial and not very authentic.
What left me dissatisfied, though, was what happened at the moment of payment. As mentioned, we were a large group, the bill was around 300 euros, and we were told it was not possible to pay by card. When we paid in cash, we were not provided with any receipt, even when requested! But here’s the cherry on top: the waitress demanded a tip, saying that it’s customary in Germany (we were speaking in Italian, she probably thought we were tourists), and when we left ten euros (which I personally didn’t want to leave, but other people in the group did), the waitress remarked that it wasn’t enough!!!!! Absurd.
I would also like to clarify that I live in Germany, and tipping is not expected as it is, for example, in the USA; it’s given voluntarily if you’re satisfied with the service.
I won’t be returning.
Was mich allerdings unzufrieden zurückließ, war, was beim Bezahlen geschah.
