I visited pretty late in the evening on a weekday being afraid not to get something warm to eat anymore, also a first look on the prices left me sceptical, because they seemed rather mid-range for an ordinary burger place as I thought. But then I was surprised and got good beer and an excellent burger, one of the best I've ever had.
The location is a bit off the tourist tracks, maybe closest to combine with a visit of the East-side Gallery. Its somewhere in the middle of the public transport stops of Warschauer Straße, Ostkreuz and Samariterstraße. Its a bit small, but decorated nicely, especially the posters covering the ceiling caught my eye.
The service was very good. A lot of waiters always right there for you with good suggestions about the menu and serving very quickly. For the drinks you should try and order one of the "Wartebier" (waiting beer), which gets served in an instant and gets your attention with the unique design and good taste. This beer is a cooperation with a local brewery and only served here.
For dinner I ordered a BBQ-Bacon-Burger with extra cheddar cheese. The meat was perfectly cooked, slightly rosé in the middle. Not ordinary meat you buy at the store, with great seasoning. On top fresh salad, tasty cheese and some awesome crispy bacon stripes. With that I had some sweet potato fries, also very hot and done very well with some aioli sauce and ketchup. Crispy but soft inside - delicious. The amount of fries is enough for two or more people. Further I tried the homemade coleslaw which also was very good and perfectly rounds up the meal.

Nevertheless, my low rating refers to the awful service I received yesterday night at around 23.20 My girlfriend and I were the only clients, so the cook was not busy at the moment. We entered the shop separately due to the corona rules but at some point my girlfriend had a problem with her credit card and I entered the shop to give her my card. The moody cook told me to go outside and started hitting a corona rules sign. Girlfriend goes outside, I pay. We feel very upset by the service and comment the issue. After a couple of minutes the cook screams inside the shop and I try to ask whether it was our order and then he replies with a very unfriendly face “you just ordered man what do you expect”. We waited longer but disgusted, took our order and left.
I personally work in customer service and kitchen in the neighborhood and I understand how it feels to be working late in the night after a long shift, despite that I think that an unhappy client is a client that is not coming back. In this case, I am the client deciding to choose trying other burger shops...

We went there to enjoy our Saturday evening as we really like their burgers, but that’s 1.5 hours of my life lost that I would never get back. We sat there at 19:40 and already past 20-25 mins and we didn’t get menu cards. Then I asked the waiter to bring it but it still took some 20 mins to come and get our orders finally while there were people who came much later than us but they took their orders earlier and brought the food earlier. They bring our drinks again with a delay (while others who came later than us already were finishing their food) but our food never really arrived! It was already closer to 21:00 when we complained and talked to the manager because at that point we already didn’t want to eat. The manager told us that our food is now ready and that everyone has to wait, he doesn’t know why those who came later got their food but we didn’t. In the end we had to pay for our drinks and didn’t even get a proper ‘’sorry’’ in the form offering us the food take away with the discount if it was really ready at that point - 0 customer orientation and empathy shown.
