Palace garden. Free entrance behind the palace. A must visit attraction in Berlin.
They created a man made lake so royalty can arrive by the river and enter the palace. The entire garden is beautifully maintained. Similar to Palace of Versailles, there are multiple gardens and forests to explore. Unlike Versailles, the gardens are all open to the public and do not need a palace entrance fee. However, with such a large public area there is no public toilet to be found. The only bathroom is in the palace and you’ll need to buy a ticket to enter.

Read moreThis place is beautiful from the outside and the inside. In the mausoleum you'll find a security guard on the front door asking for the specific ticket, be sure to ask first in the counter before buying the tickets if it's open, sometimes it is closed due to remodeling.
