I had a great experience visiting this zoo! It covers a large area, which makes for a pleasant walk and plenty of time to explore all the interesting and well-designed enclosures. The animals have lots of space, and it's clear that the staff genuinely cares about their well-being. The lion habitat and the aquarium were especially impressive – definitely highlights of the visit.
The location is another big advantage. It's close to the city center, and right next to one of the entrances you'll find a metro station, a bus stop, and a train station – super convenient. Parking can be tricky as the public lot is small, but you’re likely to find a spot at the BIKINI shopping mall located just next to the zoo.
A fantastic place to spend a few hours, for both adults and children. Highly...
Read moreThe “Reich der Jäger” (Realm of the Hunters) in Zoologischer Garten Berlin was one of the most impressive and thrilling sections of the zoo 🐅🦊. The beautifully designed area showcases powerful predators like snow leopards, Siberian tigers, wolves, and lynxes in spacious and naturalistic enclosures 🐺❄️. I was especially amazed by the majestic Siberian tiger resting near the glass wall—so close, yet so calm 🧡🐯.
The educational displays are excellent, with detailed info in both German and English 📖🇩🇪🇬🇧. There are shaded viewing areas and clever pathways that make you feel immersed in the wild 🌲. Great spot for photography too 📸!
A must-visit part of the zoo if you're interested in big cats and wild hunters of the forest. Don’t miss it – especially during feeding times for an...

Such a lovely zoo with so many beautiful animals that all seemed really well cared for. Their enclosures are spacious, natural, and designed to reflect the animals’ habitats. You can tell the animals are healthy, relaxed, and well fed, which isn’t always the case at zoos, so that really stood out to me.
The highlight for me was definitely the feline area with all the wild cats, but I am a big cat lover, so I’m biased! There’s also a fun section where you can pet and feed farm animals, which would be great for kids.
Overall, a really great experience and I’d highly recommend visiting, whether you’re a tourist, an animal lover, or just looking for a nice day out...
