PanAm Lounge — Local services in Berlin

Like walking into a movie set of the 60's, this is one of the most unique places I have been to. We were invited to a cocktail get together and the city view from the balconies offered the best scenery for the light conversations and opportunity for getting to know others. All the decor of the lounge (and the appartment just below it - where you can book a night to stay) - is highly authentic and well kept while the music in the background and the food and drinks being offered complete the gorgeous 60's atmospheres. Ich war am Freitag dort zu einem Geburtstag mit 180 Personen eingeladen und es war einfach nur genial !!! Sicher liegt es auch an dem jeweils stattfindenen Event und an den Teilnehmern, sowie am persönlichen Geschmack, aber als ehem. Flugbegleiterin im "West Berlin" der good old 80ties 😉war es eine Zeitreise par exellence ! Der Service- in authentischen PAN AM Uniformen - war erstklassig, sehr unaufdringlich, sehr fleißig, sehr gut geschult auch im historischen Kontext und wartete bis kurz vor Schluss mit immer neuen kleinen Überraschungen auf: Mal war es z.B. ein Bauchladen mit Süßem und Eis und mal kleine Schälchen mit Currywurst und Brötchen usw.. .Alles in dieser Lounge, die von 1991 nach der Insolvenz von PAN AM bis 2005 leer stand, ist Original, nur etwas frisch renoviert. Einfach toll !!! Selbst die Toilette...ein Highlight und absolut nicht muffig trotz des Alters !Der Ausblick von der fast rundum Dachterrasse mit "Sternenguckbett" atemberaubend und dass die Lounge mehrmals die Woche gebucht ist bei dem Mietpreis spricht für das Konzept. Ich bedanke mich auch nochmal bei Tom, dem Service-First Officer😉für die spontane Führung durch die Suite, in der alles so wirkte,als würde da noch der Captain mit seiner Familie gleich um die Ecke kommen...ein...

Excellent location, with a very attentive service personnel and a fantastic view above Berlin. The interior is original from the times the airline PAN AM was departing from Berlin to the United States (there are lockers that have not been opened since more than 25 years!).
