I don’t even know where to begin because Paradiesstrand is quite literally one of the most magical places I’ve ever been. If I could give it a thousand stars, I would without hesitation. This place is not just a beach – it’s a soul-reviving, mood-lifting, joy-inducing utopia right in the middle of Düsseldorf.

The vibe? Immaculate. Think golden sunsets reflecting off the Rhine like liquid light, soft white sand between your toes, and a calm breeze that makes you forget every single thing you were ever stressed about. It feels like stepping into a dream you didn’t know you needed – peaceful, beautiful, and surprisingly serene for a spot so close to the city.

I’ve laughed here with friends until my stomach hurt, watched the most jaw-droppingly beautiful sunsets, and had moments of pure stillness that felt like therapy. There's something about this place that just hits different – it feels alive, like it has a heartbeat of its own. It’s a sanctuary, a little world of its own where everyone seems a bit happier, a bit lighter, a bit more connected.

An excellent place to enjoy the day, afternoon, or evening. Access by public transport is quite complicated, so I recommend going by car or bike. I also recommend bringing plenty of snacks, fruits, and water. There is absolutely nothing to buy there, so you must bring everything. Barbecues are allowed as long as everything is kept clean afterward. Of course, there are no awnings to shelter from the sun or chairs, so those must be brought. Some areas may have broken glass lying on the sand, especially the most bridge side bay. The other I can't say. Water moves very quickly when going out between those artificial piers(bay) and may drag you down underneath the surface or downstream.
