ATLANTIC Hotel Heidelberg — Attraction in Heidelberg

I traveled with my wife and our small dog, and overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, the hotel is new, with a spacious in-building parking garage, wide accesses, quick elevators, and a very good breakfast. The rooftop restaurant and bar share the same area and offer a nice atmosphere. We stayed in a suite with plenty of space to relax, which was a highlight. Some areas could be improved. On the first night we noticed that the air-conditioning is centrally controlled and not powerful enough to cool some parts of the building. Working in the room in the morning was quite difficult. When I called the front desk, the staff immediately mentioned the ecological system and advised to keep blinds closed during the day, but we had already done so. Unfortunately, it remained uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. Another issue was the bedding: only thick duvets (Bettdecken) were provided, with no option for an extra sheet (Laken) or light summer cover (Sommerdecke), which made it too warm. Lastly, the bath towels were very small and of poor quality for a hotel of this category. In summary, the Atlantic Hotel Heidelberg has many strengths — new facilities, great location, excellent breakfast, and comfortable suites — but improvements in air-conditioning, bedding options, and towels would make the experience truly...

I loved this hotel and found it was a great value. I booked a basic room and it was gorgeous and clean. They put us up on the 10th floor and we had a nice view of the train station which is right by the hotel. The windows open up big and our weather was mild when we were in so we enjoyed opening the windows and getting some fresh air while we were in the room. All the furniture was comfortable and the room decor was beautiful. Only thing was the linens were not the best quality - sheets were scratchy and towels were more basic. The rooms have AC but there's not a lot of control over it. I saw some people in reviews said their room was too cold - my experience was opposite and the room was too warm. My hunch is that the AC wasn't running while we weren't in the room as we didn't leave a card in the front room area to keep the electricity working. Other rooms I've stayed in have kept the air running regardless of the card being in the power slot. This hotel is right by the train station but the windows kept the noise out. It's easy to hop on public transportation from here or walk. The staff was kind and helped us to borrow an umbrella and open a bottle of wine. We hung out downstairs once we checked out and had a nice glass of wine that was recommended by the bar downstairs and had a good...

Die Suche nach einer Hochzeitslocation in Heidelberg empfanden meinen Mann und ich schwieriger, als wir erwartet hatten. Wir wollten eine Hochzeit, die zu uns passt. Gerade die alteingesessenen Locations zeigten aber kaum Bereitschaft, wirklich auf unsere Vorstellungen einzugehen.

An einem Abend, nach einem weiteren enttäuschenden Besichtigungstermin, sind wir am Hotel Atlantic vorbeigefahren – ein Ort, mit dem wir schon viele schöne Erinnerungen im Restaurant und der Bar verbanden. Wir sagten uns: “Wie schön wäre es, wenn wir hier heiraten könnten?” Damals gab es auf der Website und in den sozialen Medien keinerlei Hinweise auf Hochzeiten, aber wir schrieben trotzdem eine E-Mail – einfach aus Hoffnung. Die Antwort kam prompt: Ja, Hochzeiten sind möglich. Uns wurde der Kontakt von Frau Katzenberger, der Wedding Plannerin des Hotels, übermittelt.

Nur wenige Tage später besichtigten wir den Ballsaal – und waren sofort begeistert. Der Raum war genau das, wovon wir geträumt hatten – groß, mit Parkettboden, hohen Decken, eleganter Einrichtung und bodentiefen Fenstern auf drei Seiten mit Blick auf die Berge und den Westen Heidelbergs.

Von diesem Moment an bis zur Hochzeit war Frau Katzenberger einfach unglaublich. Sie hat geduldig und liebevoll auf jede einzelne unserer zahllosen E-Mails geantwortet – oft sogar spätabends oder während ihres Urlaubs. Sie hat viele unserer Sonderwünsche möglich gemacht, wie z. B. ein Eisbike, das bei unseren kleinen Gästen für leuchtende Augen sorgte. Sie war im ständigen Austausch mit unseren anderen Dienstleistern wie DJ, Florist oder Konditorin.

Neben all der Herzlichkeit war die Professionalität von Frau Katzenberger und dem gesamten Team des Hotel Atlantic wirklich beeindruckend.

Unsere Hochzeit wurde zu einem unvergesslichen Tag. Das Essen war fantastisch, der Service makellos, die Organisation reibungslos – es war einfach perfekt. Unsere Gäste, die aus sechs verschiedenen Ländern angereist waren, haben einstimmig gesagt: „Das war die schönste Hochzeit, auf der wir je waren.“ Und für uns war es ein großes Glück, ihnen und uns selbst ein Fest in dieser Qualität bieten zu können.

Im Hochzeitspaket waren auch zwei Übernachtungen in der Suite des Hotels enthalten. Als wir nach der Trauung das Zimmer betraten, war es liebevoll mit frischen Blumen (meinen Lieblingsblumen!) und Ballons geschmückt. Dazu stand ein großer Geschenkkorb vom Hotel bereit – mit hausgemachtem Safran-Gin, meinem Lieblingsgetränk aus der Bar. Ein so persönliches Detail, das zeigt, wie aufmerksam hier auf jedes kleine Element geachtet wird.

Einige Wochen später haben wir bei einer anderen Veranstaltung im Hotel Teile des Hochzeitsteams wiedergetroffen – und es fühlte sich an, als würden wir Familie wiedersehen.

Diese Hochzeit wäre ohne das außergewöhnlich warme, professionelle und engagierte Team des Hotel Atlantic nicht möglich gewesen. Es ist für uns eine große Freude und Ehre, das erste Brautpaar des Hotels gewesen zu sein. Wir hoffen, dass wir noch viele weitere persönliche und berufliche Anlässe dort feiern dürfen – nicht nur unseren Hochzeitstag.
