experimenta - Das Science Center — Attraction in Heilbronn

How cool is that? My father booked tickets in the frame of a family reunion event. I never heard of this place before and went into this visit basically without any knowledge about what to expect. We spent 7 hours there and didn‘t even see or try half of all the amazing hands-on, partly crazy, awesome, exciting, stuff they exhibit there. The fact that we had to go find our kids when we started to miss them showed me that they felt the same way. The electronic entrance wristband and the possibility to save the „journey“ through the museum (rather house of activities) and later look it up at home including photos and videos is great! The couches in the entrance area of each floor invite to relax and to take a short break after another mind-blowing exhibition theme section. The icing on the cake is the restaurant that is in contrary of all other museums I ever been to, no rip off of families that are in urgent need to calm down their hungry kids. The prices are VERY moderate (e.g. Sandwich 1.50 Euros, Coffee 1-1.60 Euros etc) and the logistics tailored to receive the amount of people during rush hours. All in all the best family museum I have ever been to. We will be back...

Ich bin absolut begeistert von diesem tollen Science Museum! Es ist ein toller Ausflugsort für die ganze Familie mit 275 Mitmachstationen, die groß und klein gleichermaßen begeistern. Und es ist nicht nur supermodern und in einem beeindruckenden Gebäude, sondern es sind die vielen kleinen Annehmlichleiten, die einen Besuch wirklich zum Erlebnis machen.

Parkhaus Nur 2 Min. von der Experimenta parkt man ganz bequem in einem modernen, breiten Parkhaus mit LED-Anzeigen für besetzte/freie Parkplätze. Gäste der Experimenta, die ihr Ticket an der Kasse vorzeigen, zahlen zudem einen familienfreundlichen Tagespreis von 5€.

Schließfächer Rucksäcke sind im Museum nicht erlaubt, aber die große Anzahl an Schließfächern im Eingangsbereich schafft Abhilfe. Hier sind auch Toiletten und sogar ein Pfandautomat zu finden, wo man die Flaschen aus der Gastronomie zurückgeben kann.

Eingang/Kasse Man steht kaum an, weil es viele Mitarbeiter an der Kasse gibt. Die freundlichen Mitarbeiter außerhalb helfen beim Anziehen des Armbands und geben viele gute Tipps. Die Armbänder dienen als Tagesticket - man kann so oft man möchte rausgehen oder das Bistro nebenan besuchen. Es dient zudem als Speichermedium und bei Anmeldung der Armbänder im Foyer jeder Etage kann man alle gesammelten Bilder/Videos/etc. digital runterladen oder vor Ort ausdrucken. Genial!

Wege Die Wege sind großzügig gestaltet. Es stehen Rolltreppen und Aufzüge zur Verfügung.

Eintritt Der Eintrittspreis für uns als Familie mit 2 Kindern ist mit 29€ absolut erschwinglich und nicht viel für das, was einem alles geboten wird. Gerade für Familien wird daher ein fairer Rabatt gewährt.

Toiletten In jeder Etage der vier Ausstellungsetagen gibt es sehr saubere Toiletten und für die durstigen Kids sogar auf jeder Etage ein Trinkwasserspender. Sehr familienfreundlich!

Ausstellung Das Museum erstreckt sich über vier Etagen mit Mitmachbereichen. Auch wenn mal viele Gäste da sind, verteilt es sich doch gut im ganzen Haus, so dass lange Wartezeiten an den Stationen ausbleiben. Man kann hier locker den ganzen Tag (10-18 Uhr) verbringen und hat so viele Möglichkeiten. In den Studios - auf jeder Etage ein anderes, kann zudem gebastelt werden. Eine kostenlose Wissensshow wurde ebenfalls angeboten. Die Mitmachstationen sind alle sehr hochwertig, alles wird toll erklärt und das Armband wird in einigen Stationen zum Einsatz kommen. Alles in allem jedenfalls wahnsinnig toll!

Science Dome Für 16€ mehr kann man als Familie zudem im gigantischen Science Dome auf einer 360°-Kuppelleinwand einen tollen 3D-Film genießen. Mit modernen 3D-Brillen und bequemen elektrisch verstellbaren Sitzen.

Sonderausstellung In drei Sälen findet zudem gerade eine Sonderausstellung "Die Sonne" statt, welche im UG ist und ebenfalls im Eintrittspreis enthalten ist.

Mitarbeiter In jedem Bereich findet man eine Vielzahl von sehr hilfsbereiten und freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter, die sich wirklich toll um die Besucher kümmern. Man sorgt hier auch schnell dafür, die Mitmachaktionen z.B. wieder aufzuräumen. Ganz liebe Menschen, die dort Arbeiten

Shop Natürlich gibt es auch einen Shop. Allerdings finde ich das Sortiment dort sehr passend.

Gastronomie Beeindruckt haben mich auch die sehr sozialen Preise im Bistro. Die frische Pizza kostet z.B. 6€, Softdrink 0,5l sind sogar schon für 1,25€ zu haben.

Fazit Absolut zu empfehlen - als Tagesausflug oder sogar...

i really dont know where to begin. We have been to many kind of museums and amusement parks for grown ups and for kids as well. Experimenta is not only for kids but also for us. We bought an annual ticket for a family of four and it costed 123 euros. The exhibitions are interactive. We took photos of kids and made an articraft with it and it didnt cost extra. I remembered that we paid 12€for a photo in Legoland.Unbelievable! Annual ticket includes parking , too. That's the economical aspect. And there's learning side which is much more important. There are lots of things to get indulged in and not like 1 minute thing( i mean the kids didnt say"ok what is next?"). We spent quite a good deal amount of time with every activity and we were there for 2.5 hours and we couldnt see like 10% of the whole facility. And last but not least, the team is very friendly and ready to help always. Thank you a lot...
