Mr. Lian - Finest Sushi Kaiserslautern Zentrum — Restaurant in Kaiserslautern

Great food and ambiance, indoors and out. We came here on an August weekday evening with our three kids ages 6, 4, and 2. We requested an outdoor table, of which there were a few left. We had walked by before and knew there was a fountain immediately in front of the restaurant, but unforunately it was off during this visit (a shame, as we were counting on that to keep our kids occupied). The large square in front of the restaurant, thankfully, has enough room for them to run around and enjoy themselves. The staff spoke English well and were very efficient and friendly. The food was fantastic, as it was at their other location in Landstuhl when we went a few months ago (the Pho is absolutely great, as is the sushi). There were bees, of course, but no worse than most outdoor restaurants during this season. There are bathrooms inside, downstairs if I recall correctly, that were clean and spacious enough. The interior of the restaurant is decorated quite nicely and makes a great atmosphere. Overall a great experience for couples with kids...

We just left the place, a party of five with 2 adults and 3 teenage kids. The food was authentic and tastes great but the service was awful. I don't really like doing negative reviews because I'm not a negative person. We looked through the menu, the server took our orders and barely visited our table to check if we need refill for our drinks or if we needed anything at all. The other server took the soy sauce from the table and had to ask from the guy who brought our food that we need the soy sauce to eat our sushi. The kids finished their food and were still hungry so we ordered another round of same order for them to eat at the table. But it was brought to our table packed away and basically told to pay up in cash and were practically getting showed the door like WOW!!! The food was fine, I had fried rice with chicken which was good. The multiple reviews mentioning bugs in the food will prevent me from ever going back here. Also, the owners continued refusal to accept card payments makes this place unattractive to eat at, especially for groups. Our first server was great but the second one who brought the bill was very unfriendly. Due to the restaurants inability to accept card payments in 2024 I was unable to pay and the person I dined with had to foot the bill. The waiter made sure to mention the amount that I owed my companion several times, perhaps in attempt to remind me to pay them back, as if I wouldn't have for some reason.
