Die Alte Burg ist eine ehemalige kurfürstliche Burg in Koblenz aus dem 13. Jahrhundert. Als Niederungsburg steht sie in der Ortslage der Altstadt von Koblenz am Ufer der Mosel neben der Balduinbrücke. Erhalten geblieben ist nur noch das Burghaus, das heute das Stadtarchiv beherbergt. Da das Gebäude grundsaniert werden muss, wird das Stadtarchiv ins Forum Confluentis verlegt. Die weitere Verwendung des Gebäudes ist derzeit noch nicht entschieden.

Ren ve Mosel Nehir turumuzun ikinci durağı Koblenz'deyiz. Balduin Köprüsü'nün yanındaki Moselle kıyısındaki tarihi Prince Elector's Castle binası müthiş görünüyor. Fakat zannedersem yapılan restorasyon kaliteli olmamış. Arşiv binası olarak kullanılmış, şimdi ise boş bir bina. Bahçe peyzajını beğendim.

Einzig weitgehend erhaltenes Gebäude Koblenz' aus dem Mittelalter ist das markante, weiße Burghaus als eher kleiner Bestandteil der ehemaligen kurfürstlichen Burg direkt an der Balduinbrücke und Moselpromenade. Derzeit als Stadtarchiv genutzt, wurde es im 12.Jhdt. direkt auf den spätrömischen Resten der Stadtmauer aus dem 4.Jhdt. gebaut.
