I had been here once before, many years ago, and thought it was pretty good. I went the other day and found the food to appear mostly from frozen ingredients. In general, the place has an appearance of being modern and deliciously varied but I felt this was a poorly constructed veneer of quality, that fell away quickly upon being in the restaurant and trying the food.

Nothing was actually bad, but nothing was really all that good either.

Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m be back here any time soon.

My absolute favorite schnitzel restaurant in Munich. The owner is really friendly and made us feel very welcomed. But it is not the only reason I gave this place 5 stars as their food was absolutely amazing. I got the Esche schnitzel and the grilled mushrooms were literally one of the best ever I‘ve tried (might sound hyperbolic but it’s actually true)… Their grilled veggies were amazing as well. Heftig, was einem hier als Essen verkauft wird. Es gab früher mal ein veganes Schnitzel welches aus Seitan bestand. Man sagte mir dass es das nicht mehr gibt da der Lieferant es nicht mehr anbietet. In Zeiten des Veggie-Booms gibt es da draußen sicher Alternativen aber gut. Als man mir das Vegetarische Schnitzel anbot welches aus Gemüse besteht sagte man mir dass ich für dieses keine Panade auswählen kann. Da war mir dann klar, dass es sich um ein Fertigprodukt handelt. Ein Mittagsmenü wie auf der Karte geschrieben gibt es auch nicht da das Lokal mittags nicht offen hat. Das nur nebenbei. Die Karte wolle man aber nicht ändern sagte man mir. Eine Karte bedrucken zu lassen kostet 20 Cent, aber gut. Ist wohl eher auf Faulheit zurück zu führen. Jedenfalls bekam ich dann ein frittiertes TK-Produkt als Schnitzel für 12€ verkauft. Zufällig weiß ich welches Produkt hier verwendet wird, ein Schnitzel kostet 0,75€ im Einkauf. Auf dem Teller war zwar eine Salatbeilage, der Salat war allerdings abgepackter Schnittsalat ohne irgendeine Form von Dressing. Ist wohl eher als Deko zum anschließenden Wegwerfen als zum Essen gedacht. Salat war also trocken und geschmacklos. Die Süßkartoffelpommes sind auch nicht selbst gemacht, da alle identisch aussehen. Wer also selbst zu faul ist zuhause ne Tüte Pommes und TK Schnitzel aufzureißen kann sich das hier für 12€ gönnen.
