Mood Bar — Attraction in Accra

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! IT'S A SCAM!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. I gave them 2 chances. The first time the electricity went out after we ordered a drink. They kept saying "5 minutes", but after an hour plus of being in the dark (unlike any other place of business in the store front) we were tired of being lied to, so we left. On the second visit, we decided to end our night here once more, and yet the Mood Bar failed us. Once we mafe it inside, we were set at a booth next to the bar area. After several moments, we requested a waiter so that we could place an order. We didn't want much to drink, so we ordered a single cocktail. We were then told that they were not serving cocktails in our section, only bottles. Since we didn't want much to drink, my friend and I agreed on ordering a bottle of wine, only to be hounded on buying a different bottle by our waitress. We insisted that we didn't want much to drink but reiterated the bottle of wine that we agreed to purchase only to then be told that they didn't have it. We found out this was a lie because she wanted us to just order a more expensive bottle. Our driver/guide later informed us that she told him to convince us to buy a bottle. (We noticed her whispering to him, but weren't sure what was going on.) Ibguess because we are Americans, they thought that we were naive and we didn't deserve proper etiquette and service. How disappointing and disgusting. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. IT'S A SCAM. PLEASE STAY AWAY, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE AN AMERICAN– YOU WILL BE LIED TO...

I visited with friends in the evening just over a week ago, it wasn't too busy and it seemed on first impressions like a cute place. We ordered some food (chicken wings and kelewele), which disappointingly arrived cold. After sending it back, it arrived piping hot just a few minutes later, which let's me know they just microwaved the food rather than replacing it. My group were already concerned by this, but because we were so hungry we ate the food. Since having eaten at Mood, 3 of us became very sick with food poisoning. I have had a severe upset stomach since eating there and I'm having to take antibiotics. Another friend was projectile vomiting for days after and a third had symptoms like mine. To add insult to injury, whilst we were there a guy that appeared to be either a manager or owner (a Lebanese man) was creepily hanging around and watching everyone, yet didn't once ask us how our experience was or talk to any customers at all. The absolute BEST Club Restaurant in OSU, Accra ! THE DJ AND KITCHEN and the type of people that come really enjoy themselves and the staff does and excellent job..Shout out to Mr. Felix and the DJ MC who invited me to the Caribbean Festival. I LIKE DANCING AND RELAXING here and have a great time!
