Barbati Beach is located on the Greek island of Corfu, along the road, at the foot of Mount Pantokrator. It is one of several beaches on the island of Corfu awarded the "Blue Flag" by the European Community for the purity of seawater. The picturesque beach in Barbati Bay, surrounded by greenery and rocks, is quite spacious, cramped there only on weekends when local residents go to the beach. The east coast of Corfu is characterized by particularly warm water. Barbati Beach, located near a small village of the same name, is suitable for a quiet family vacation: there are no noisy entertainment, except that loud music can sometimes sound in the beach cafe on weekends. There are grocery stores and cafes in the village, but there is nowhere to walk, because the only street running along the sea is narrow and virtually without a sidewalk, and traffic is very busy. The beach line in Barbati is lined with hotels and tourist complexes, but just behind the beach there is a small green square to hide from the scorching sun. Barbati beach is covered mainly with medium-sized pebbles, mixed with sand in the surf zone. Large stones are found at the bottom, but they are smooth. The bottom is quite steep, so the beach is suitable for lovers of "deep water." Due to the cleanliness of the water, the beach attracts snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. In the thickets of grass at a depth of 3-4 meters, you can find many colorful bright fish. Barbati Beach is equipped with all the infrastructure necessary for a comfortable stay. Beachgoers can rent umbrellas, sunbeds. Locker rooms, showers, toilets are equipped. Extreme lovers can go water skiing, "cheesecakes" or on a parachute flying behind the boat. Tourists who prefer independent boat trips can...
Read moreI saw an octopus here today whilst snorkelling!!! It is a beautiful beach, sea is crystal clear and so you can see hundreds of fish and different species, it’s the best snorkelling spot I’ve been to. If you are interested, the rocky area at the very left hand side of the bay is where I found the most sea life. The beach itself is beautiful, the pebbles aren’t too bad to walk on although I wore flip flops into the sea which is fine. Sandy once you get a little way out into the sea. Very peaceful beach, with comfortable sun loungers at the beach bar which is the furthest to the left of the bay. I’ve had a beautiful day here and I will definitely return!
I got here from Corfu Town by using ‘green buses’ which have regular buses to and from Barbati and numerous other destinations. Good way to get...
Read moreBarbati Beach on Corfu is absolutely phenomenal! The water is stunning – crystal clear, warm, and a mesmerizing turquoise-blue shade that makes swimming here an unforgettable experience. The beach itself is covered with fine pebbles, as is the entrance into the sea, which makes the water look even more transparent and inviting.
The beach is also very wide, so there’s plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded. Along the beach, you’ll find many traditional Greek tavernas, all offering delicious food and warm hospitality. The atmosphere is authentically Greek, with friendly service and great vibes.
A special highlight is Nautilus Beach Restaurant – simply outstanding! Both the food and the service are excellent, and it really stands out as a place worth visiting. Definitely deserves a...
