Visited 25th June 2025 never to return. We arrived after 1pm and were charged 28 euros for two loungers and a parasol. This was the full day rate I was told, and there was no reduction for an afternoon. This would be fair enough, if the beach had been clean and the service had been good. Unfortunately neither were the case. The beach was filthy. Cigarette butts littered the area around all the sun loungers and I picked them up before my one year old grandson decided to. There was waste paper, cans straws and cups strewn around as if there had been a festival. The foreshore was piled with decaying seaweed and was most unpleasant for children and adults to sit in. The steps up to the pier so that you can access clean swimming water would fail health and safety inspections - if they were to have one. Such a missed opportunity. This place could be fantastic instead of a gigantic disappointment. Avoid it and go to the swimming area by the Windmill just...
Read moreThere's something melancholic about the place. A beach to visit if you want to be made sad. It's completely run down, covered in fake sand and swarming with seaweed . There's a very dangerous looking jetty looming over the water. The worst part of it is that it's a complete rip off - 26 euros for 2 sunbeds... . 4 euros for a tiny 150ml kids bottle of ginger beer .... the price was so high i couldn't pay for the 2 ginger beers i asked for but the guy refused to let me only buy 1 .. he said he had already printed the receipt so if i didn't pay 'he would have to' ... i highly doubt this.. the drinks were unopened just out of the fridge and he could've just put them back... he argued with me for ages and eventually i had to traipse back to my lounger and borrow 5 euros from my wife to pay this guy off for a drink i didn't even want. Felt like i was...

The beach itself is pleasant enough, with a decent mix of shade and sun and a grassy area that’s good for relaxing. However, the experience was undermined by the absurd handling of the private sunbed area. Despite the section being open, anyone who dared to use the empty loungers was swiftly told to leave — apparently because staff were unable to take payments.
This resulted in the farcical situation where sunbeds remained vacant while people were left sitting uncomfortably on towels on the ground just metres away. It felt petty and needlessly officious, and unfortunately, it aligns with other recent reviews noting poor bar service and mismanagement.
A real shame, because the setting has so much potential — but sadly it seems that customer experience isn’t the...
