Priceless view even from the restroom.The botanical collection is amazing, also a bit of a hiking opportunity due to it's design. Smartly built. There are cooling points and restrooms on the way and also there was enough shadow to hide from the sun. The lake and the zoo was perfect for our toddler to enjoy. In the finish line theres enough space to get some air and prepare to meet the dying staff again, which takes all the energy you have left. We tried contacting tourism office and nearby Avra hotel for information about the park, but received no reply prior to coming. Parts of the park appeared heavily graffitied and possibly a homeless encampment. Read moreI walked through this park today whilst in Chania and came across the most amazing tree! I've seen loads of huge plane trees here on Crete, I've seen some ancient olive trees as well, but this tree (not sure what it is, but I must find out!) is one of the most beautiful and interesting trees I've seen here.
