Ionian Blue Beach Hotel - Adults Friendly — Hotel in Municipality of Southern Corfu

Looking at the reviews I thought people where reviewing two hotels, There is only one hotel with an annex.

The hotel is next to Future night club on the main road, The Annex building is about 70 meters away opposite the hotel across the main road down a small road next to SNOBS (awful name) The room was Superior Double Room, I was as the picture on the website, nice, large and very clean with a patio facing a small rustic car park. The view was ok.

Staff are brilliant and really helpful

Main building is a bit run down, the pictures are from when it opened 30 years ago, Bar is not open, canopy is dirty and bits missing, decking has holes in it and hasn't been touched. But the rest is cleaned every day.

There is NO POOL, you have the use of next doors hotels pool, it has a bar you can use. It is a nice pool area.

The Beach, it doesn't look anything like the pictures, probably the worst beach I've been to (Not the hotels fault), there are sunbeds and they are very comfortable.

Breakfast, you have what you are given. Basically it's 2 eggs 2 bread, Bowl of fruit or yogurt, tea or coffee and orange juice. I got to say the eggs where cooked differently every morning, They where very nice and I commended the chef on how he came up with different recipes. You only get 2 cups of tea/coffee and 2 orange juices and that's it no more.

When I first arrived I thought "oh god what have I booked," But the room was a expected (Really nice), the breakfast was nice, and next doors pool was good. The beach could be better but I went to Marathias which is about 30mins in the bus (2 Euro) and a 2km walk to the beach.

I would say the Hotel is ok if you are not looking for a greek looking hotel with a bar, and only want somewhere to sleep after a night out.

Our stay at Ionian Blue Beach Hotel in Kavos was absolutely terrible. Nothing, and I mean nothing, looked like the pictures online. The entire hotel is run-down, poorly maintained, and to make matters worse, we weren’t even placed in the main building. Instead, we were put in a dark building across the street in a sketchy alley, which was not clearly mentioned during booking. It was a huge disappointment.

The breakfast was disgusting. The Greek yogurt was served warm. We couldn’t even bring ourselves to eat it. The photos were completely misleading.

The room wasn’t cleaned daily and the towels weren’t replaced unless we asked repeatedly. Everything felt dirty and unkempt. The wifi didn’t work. We ended up leaving earlier than planned because we simply didn’t want to stay there any longer.

After we left, the head office contacted us. They said they would compensate us with a voucher or partial refund due to the situation, which initially sounded fair. Until we were told we had to leave a positive review first.

We followed up several times, but never heard back. This was nothing but dishonesty and manipulation.

Also, Kavos is far from all the beautiful places in Corfu. Taxis are nearly impossible to get, and one ride cost us €150 and even then, we were dropped off halfway and had to walk the rest.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! They are rude, unreliable, and the stay is absolutely not worth the money. Stay in Corfu Town instead. It’s more central, charming, and far more...

Upon arrival at the room, we were greeted by a non-functional smoke detector, which loudly signaled a battery error every minute. The sink drain was leaking, water was leaking onto the floor. Plaster was falling off the walls. The air conditioning is weak, it only cools the room after two hours. When you leave the room, the electricity turns off and you return to the preheated room! There is no TV remote in the room, the TV cannot be turned on. Wifi is not available, no signal at all. The shower is connected from the toilet, a curtain, while showering there is water in the area around the toilet. The room has no wardrobe. The room is located on the noisiest street in the area, across the road in another building. There was animal feces on the stairs to the building, and there was only garbage around. Breakfast is brought to you on a plate, no buffet! Dried bread, oily eggs, one slice of cheese and one slice of ham. The coffee was not drinkable at all! The staff does not respond to arguments, once you pay they do not refund your money. We stayed for four nights, we would have preferred to be in a tent on the beach.
