Fully unprofessional staff!!! We have gotten there 40 minutes earlier and wanted to buy a ticket for the next train. The guy told us we have to wait until the train arrives to the station to buy a ticket ( on paper this is the only place where you can buy a ticket). Nobody was there, there was no shadow and the temperature was at least 30 degree C, so we have decided to take a short walk. When we have gotten back (20 minutes before the trains planed departure) the train was almost full - only one place free. But they didn‘t want to sell us the tickets, because the train was ‚full‘ ( which it wasn’t, we saw it with our own eyes). Based on their opinion we should wait another 30 minutes for the next train and we would be „second in line“ to buy a ticket - once again there is no shadow + high temperature. Thanks for nothing „Train Parga“, we will spend our money somewhere else!!!

The cherry on the top, we had to wait a couple of minutes to get this information, because the guy had some...

From Parga town there’s a small tourist train that goes on the country road up to Anthoussa Castle, or Ali Pasha’s Fortress as it’s also called. From here, the Ottoman ruler Ali Pasha had intended to bomb Parga, but this was prevented first by the French and then by the English. You get a guided tour of the fortress before you are given time to enjoy the fortress and the view towards Parga. It’s a pleasant little excursion of a few hours and the train also stops on the way back in the village Anthoussa. Next to the village of Anthoussa there’s also a watermill museum with a small waterfall nearby. Even there you can take a ride on a separate tour with the tourist train. very short tour, totally unsatisfying and disappointing from my point of view. everything is in a hurry for the castle tour! the short stop in the small village on the way back is totally worthless and pointless! would recommend visiting the castle, but if you can, would recommend to do it on your own, the train tour isn't really worth it. the village on the back seems to have great tavernas and cafes, but you're not able to get to spend the time in it and enjoy it, as the train is running to be back for the next worthless tour. do not...

The train left on time and it wasnt very crowded. The visit to the waterfall and water mill was nice. Don't do the trip if you are afraid of heights or sheer drops. The train goes off the beaten track through some very narrow paths where there is no protection and some steep drops off the kerbside. This trip is not suitable if you have walking difficuties. You need to climb a very steep hill on foot to get to the wsterfall. Trainers or sensible footwear is advisable.

We had a reservation (with a group) made one week ago. We arrive at the station and find a train full of Germans (they were quite racist towards us when they found out the driver wants to put us next to them). Couldn't take it anymore, as it was already full of these... people. It's the driver's fault for not keeping up to his promises. But anyway, other people told me we didn't miss out on too much. I'd rather keep the €8/person :)
