So after 5 days in Parga om a apartment close to LA Trattoria we called at midday to book a table for 7.30 pm. I went to the restaurant at 7.30 pm to ask if it would be OK to delay the booking to 8.00. No problem. We arrived, requested wine and water. We both selected food from the menu. When the assistant returned we requested or food. Due to previous restaurant experiences we asked 3 times that the food we ordered come to the table at the same time. We have noticed so many times that food is not served at the same time completely spoiling our dinning experience. So we emphasized 3 times pls serve all the food together. This is our last night in Parga and we want it to be special. The staff came to us 5 to 10 mins later and explained part of the order was delayed. No probbs we said. We are happy to wait. Again pls can we have all the food at the same time. So part of our food arrived, as it was being put on the table it was clear it was not all we ordered. 5 mins went by and I asked a assistant were is my partners food. Off they went. Came back saying it would be 5 mins. Told them not to bother. Our evening dinning experience had been shot to pieces. I had specifically requested our food to arrive together, but they had failed on that simple request. We stabbed at the food feeling very disheartened. This was supposed to be a special last night. The bill showed items that we had not ordered. I went to bar to speak with staff and explain how unhappy I was with the dinning experience. They clearly wanted to charge me for food and wine without taking into consideration the evening for my partner and i was a dissarster. After some conversation we agreed I would not pay anything. This did take a lot what I felt confrontational discussion which I would not have expected, as they had ruined our dinning experience. I love my partner and enjoy...

Entered the restaurant at around 21:00. Really busy but they were able to manage a table. After a while we got service to ask us what we wanted. Ordered 2 starters with a bottle of wine and water and a pizza for main. After more waiting we eventually got the drinks and soon after also the starters. While we finished the starters we asked for an ash tray from a waiter. Did not get it. We asked it for a second time later on. Did not get it. Smoked and left the filters on a bottle of wine that we already had finished. We did get the bill though. From a waiter that just rushed by while we still did not have the main course and were already running low on drinks. Eventually we finished the water and the wine and decided to leave the restaurant because we still did not get the main course and as we already had been served the receipt. Told the waitress that we would only pay for what we got and thank you.

Not to say, the food that we did get was really good and we were thinking of trying this place out again at a slower time. But the staff was way underpowered for the amount of customers at the busy hours and service was lacking a lot.

Update;

We gave this place a second try. We ordered 2 gluten free pizzas for take away. Waited for about an hour while no one asked us if we are good, no one asked if we needed anything nor gave us an update on how long it would take. Definitely worst and slowest service we had on our stay in Parga. We were just about to leave as we got the pizzas we ordered. Went to the beach to ate the pizzas. Here I have to say that they were really good, even for gluten free so the food is/was worth the price, but not the wait.

So after all don't come here expecting any service or good time. You are going to wait a lot and you will not be taken care of. Eventually though the food is good so if you have the time and...

Gorgeous outdoor seating and view, friendly staff, but a disappointing dining experience and low quality food.

The menu is way to large and complicated to navigate. It took us (and the tables around us) nearly 15 minutes just to look through it once seated. There are easily over 100 dishes- which is simply too much. It’s always a red flag when a restaurant has that many dishes- it means they compromise on quality. It’s also very unclear about how you “choose your own” pasta and sauce- the menu design is very chaotic.

I ordered the Truffle pasta after I was told the Funghi and Nocci dish couldn’t be modified. The waitress told me it was a white wine sauce with no cream, truffles and mushrooms! Unfortunately, it had probably 4 sad pieces of mushrooms, zero white wine sauce (just olive oil), and a few small drops of truffle paste added on at the end.

The taste was okay, the portion was huge, but it was so disappointing. I even found crunchy sand in a few bites of mushrooms, meaning they weren’t washed properly.

Additionally, their wine situation is really awful. They were sold out of every single Italian wine we tried to order. The descriptions of the wine are really unfortunate English translations that are not helpful at all- such as “deep lemon color with green highlights for edge” or even just “a red wine from Italy.”

Honestly, this place has potential but needs to refine their menu and rewrite...

La Trattoria is one of those places where you can mix and match your favorite pasta shapes and sauces just the way you like it. The menu has plenty of tempting options, and the friendly staff are more than happy to help with suggestions if you’re feeling indecisive. There’s also a nice selection of small plates, salads, risottos, meat dishes—and a strong pizza lineup too. We got a lovely table with a view of the harbor and the promenade around 7:00 PM, and didn’t have to wait to be seated. We tried the Spaghetti Marinara (with shrimp, mussels, and squid in a tomato sauce), the Fiocchi Formaggio e Pere (pasta parcels filled with pear and Robiola cheese, cooked in cream, Gorgonzola, and walnuts), and the “Love Hot Chocolate” pizza for dessert. The spaghetti was tasty, though pretty standard as marinaras go. But the fiocchi really stole the show—absolutely delicious and a big hit at the table! And as for the chocolate pizza… well, when you’re 11, it’s pretty much the dream. That said, it could easily have fed two—it was a lot of chocolate for one person 🤣 With so many exciting dishes on the menu, a great location, and genuinely warm service, we’re already looking forward to coming back.

I have to admit that before going here I expected it to be rather mundane, because of its appearance (tourist trap). I was utterly wrong. The service was good and quick. They served us water instantly with some bread and tzatziki. The pesto pasta was really good (recommend ordering some extra parmesan). Usually pasta is rather bad from where I am from. This place served pasta equal to pasta I have eaten in Italy. The pizza was also a suprise. It doesnt look as good as a neapolitan pizza, but it damn sure tastes as good in its own way (not saying it is a neopolitan). Simple food made well with good service - that is what you get here.
