Bacchos — Restaurant in Parga Municipality

During our recent visit to the picturesque town of Parga, Greece, I had the pleasure of dining at the acclaimed restaurant, Bacchos. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were captivated by the ambiance and warm atmosphere of this charming venue.

The food at Bacchos was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared, leaving us craving more with each bite. Not only were they incredibly attentive and accommodating, but they also had a wonderful sense of humor that added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience. Their passion for providing top-notch service was evident in everything they did, from their impeccable attention to detail to their genuine warmth and hospitality.

I had the most beautiful experience. I think it is the best restaurant in Parga and I will explain why: We were greeted with smiles and spoken to warmly, we didn't feel the pressure they were under at that moment, the power had gone out in all of Parga, which shows professionalism! After we settled down at the table, they brought us coloring sheets and markers for children, talked and joked with our boys. They brought us menus in Romanian, which impressed us even more. After the drinks arrived, the power came back on and we ordered fried calamari, stuffed calamari, wine braised octopus (octopus with a very soft texture, it melted in my mouth-yummy) and schnitzel with fried potatoes (which were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside), which were super delicious and the portions were really big! 😍 The service was very fast and faultless, considering the restaurant was full and they had a power cut, they were professional through and through! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Awful/ridiculous experience in terms of service. First, they have an idiotic system of taking orders in which only one waiter is allowed to take the food orders for the whole restaurant. He’s an old guy who seems to be the boss/owner. This would be fine except this means you wait a long time to be served when they are busy. We ordered the zucchini balls and they brought fried zucchini. No problem, right? Wrong. For them, this was a declaration of war. We let one of the underling waiters know and then the master waiter shows up and berates us for ordering incorrectly. He literally screamed at us for not ordering the zucchini balls. It came out of nowhere and it was like he took it personally that we said we ordered something other than what he brought. Like, chill out dude, it’s just zucchini. Even if he were correct that we ordered fried zucchini (we did not), why scream at the customers about it? That was it. His minions brought the zucchini balls—but he kind of ruined our dinner....
