You can get here on foot from the town of Thassos. 20-30 minutes up a steep path. You can also get there by car if you want, BUT !! The road is narrow, unpaved, lots of sharp rocks, steep climb and there is little parking space at the top, if you are allowed to park (if there are works going on there at the moment, then most likely you will have to go down 100 meters and park your car somewhere along the road). It is advisable to have a car with 4x4 to be sure. The Acropolis itself is currently undergoing reconstruction, it is impressive. The view of the sea is stunning. Well, I mean, you can, but the path is really tight, it'll probably get you questioning both your life choices and if you've taken the right path. There IS a plateau(Max 2 cars), a little bit in front of a staircase-like path(keep in mind this is after a little bit of driving). There are 2-3 places to stop the car, but they're SMALL. And the turning 'points' are risky(kinda). It's not impossible by car, and the sight is drop dead gorgeous, but I still recommend hiking. It might be long, but it saves...

As you make your way up to the Ancient Amphitheatre you will find a passage that will lead you all the way up hill directly to the Acropolis. Beautiful scenery . Amazing view.
