Philoxenia Inn — Hotel in Thassos Municipality

The owner - Maria was kind at the beginning, she helped us with the accomodation. The personal is very noisy during the day, you couldn't sleep after 8 a.m When I complained, Maria told me that "it is not a hospital", she could confirm that ! The area is very noisy, because it is very close to the centre and you hear everyone's scooter, car or motorbike, even when windows are closed. The rooms were not the same as they were on the pictures, the interior is old-fashioned (1970's), which is not acceptable in 21th century. Prices are very high for these living conditions. The owner knew what is the problem, because she changed the pictures in Booking website, she changed the pricelist also. Be careful, it is not what it looks...

Locatia perfecta. Aproape de orice. Port, plaja (Tarsanas care e de nota 1000), taverne, restaurante. Carnagio Beach Bar, locul de unde poti vedea cel mai frumos rasarit. Camera 209 cred ca este cea mai buna. Baia spatioasa. Curatenie zilnic. Ba chiar am refuzat in 2 randuri. Maria nu a ezitat sa ne ofere camera 209 avand in vedere ca era libera. Camera a fost ok. Nu ni s.a cerut sa platim AC ul si chiar l am folosit. Frigider spatios. Piscina e super. Apa calda. M.am rasfatat in ea zilnic dupa micul dejun. Micul dejun. Cred ca a fost singurul minus. Din cauza pandemiei nu ni s.a permis sa ne servim singuri desi era tip bufet suedez. Trebuia sa o rugam pe una dintre fete sa ne serveasca de cate ori voiam ceva. Mi s.a parut de prost gust sa ceri de fiecare data. Vreau 3 felii din aia, 4 felii din aia, un ou, 2 felii de paine, un pahar cu lapte... etc. Mai voiai iaurt... cereai. Mai voiai gem... cereai. Si tot asa. Preparatele nu erau de cea mai buna calitate si nici prea diversificat. Dar era suficient si gustos. Se puteau pune manuși de unica folosinta ca sa ne servim singuri. Asa cum este normal. La un moment dat am renunțat sa mananc pentru simplul fapt ca ma simteam prost sa cer de fiecare data. Dar sotul mai inspirat cerea de la inceput mult si din toate felurile. Chit ca ramanea pe farfurie dar nu era nevoit sa mai ceara. Sper ca anul acesta sa nu mai faca acest gest. Poate Maria vede recenzia si tine cont. In orice caz... clopotul de care spune cineva, chiar nu e deranjant. Si eu nu sunt deloc matinala. Imi place sa dorm dimineata. Este chiar linistitor sa l asculti. Mai galagiosi sunt pescarusii care isi incep concertul pe la 5jum dimineata. Anul acesta as fi luat tot aici dar pretul este mult peste cel de anul trecut prin agentia pe care o folosim. Așadar am luat la un hotel situat la cateva stradute. Sper sa fiu la fel de incantata. Recomand Philoxenia Inn cu mult drag. Multumim, Maria! Maria a fost o gazda minunata. Salutari din partea...

Philoxenia Inn is a family run hotel located near the Archeological Museum of Thassos. We appreciated the clean room, the fact that it was cleaned daily, new towel brought every other day. Breakfast was dull, with the same choices every day with 2 exceptions: greek yogurt day, when they removed the boiled eggs from the menu😀If you get so lucky to have noisy neighbours tough luck, as the noise gets to propagate.
