Inside the tall walls surrounding this convent, I discovered such beautiful and intricate colonial architecture, a pretty water fountain in the centre of an amazing courtyard, expansive rooms and gorgeous manicured gardens. The courtyard was surrounded by buildings with beautiful arches. There were lots of pathways, hallways and interesting hidden areas to explore and it was a really beautiful place to wander around.
The views of the courtyard and volcano landscape were amazing after climbing the stairs to the top of the ruins.
