A Truly Unforgettable Italian Experience in Antigua
We stumbled upon this charming Italian restaurant in the heart of Antigua, and what an incredible find it was! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere transported us straight to Italy — warm, inviting, and full of life.
What made this evening even more special was the owner himself, Francesco, taking the time to sit down with us. He shared stories, recommended dishes, and made us feel like old friends visiting his home. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality, and it made the experience feel authentic and personal.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was crafted with love and tradition, from the rich, flavorful pasta to the perfectly cooked meat dishes — and let’s not forget the heavenly tiramisu that ended the night on a sweet, unforgettable note. The drinks were equally impressive, with a great selection of wines and cocktails that paired beautifully with the meal.
If you’re looking for an Italian restaurant in Antigua that delivers not only mouthwatering food but also an experience you’ll treasure, this is the place to go. It’s more than a meal — it’s a little piece of Italy right here in Guatemala.
Grazie mille for an unforgettable evening! We can’t wait to come back. Giuseppe from...

Food is still tasty but the hostess (?) was such a pill it really soured our meal. The restaurant was totally empty - first she looked at us with an attitude, like we were interrupting her time watching tv.... then she lead us to a table next to the only other occupied table filled with a bunch of very loud kids. “Sorry everything else is reserved.”- the obnoxious look of satisfaction really made us want to get up and leave.
Another waiter let us change to one of the many empty and not reserved tables. We had an OK meal (again, food was great but experience was not) and the hostess snot gave us side eye while seating a few more groups who also did not have a reservation.
We left and none of the garden tables had been filled, we had to tell some kid to pick up the trash she threw in the nice garden, waiters didn’t actually care to uphold the “kids must be accompanied by adults while playing outside” and the hostess was just such a pill we wouldn’t go back.
Too bad- love Francesco and his food but he needs to step up the...
Read moreBurnt pancetta in my “special” carbonara, which was basically normal carbonara with so much cheese that it made the sauce grainy and unpleasant. The bitterness of the burnt pancetta made the dish hard to eat, but since they took a long time to bring it out and I was hungry, of course I ate it.
Their specialty pizza had an overkill of arugula on top (why so much??) and the dough was very subpar.
The Alfredo pasta, the least traditional of what we ordered, ended up being the best.
I don’t understand the hype! If you’re hungry for Italian, I’m sure there are better options in Antigua.
Store bought bread (it either tasted store bought or was actually store bought, neither option being good) served with butter in those little plastic single serve containers and store bought pasta (saw an employee walking to the kitchen with it) makes the Q250 spent per person even more...
